Montserrat and Sagrada Familia in a day

Well worth the time and money!! Our guide was Teo and he did a great job. Fast paced day but we got to see wonderful Monserrat, Gothic town and Awe inspiring Sagrada Familia and other areas of Barcelona. Since crowded, recommend you take snacks and drink with you because long queues for some food venues. Thanks Teo for very memorable day.

Everything went really good . The drive to Montserrat was great. The tour of the Gothic quarters was good. Our guide Anatoli was very good. We looked forward on our last day in Barcelona to see La Sagrada Familia. We arrived at 4:30 , got in line, went through the security check and when our ticket was scanned- Bam!- wrong date!! The security guards were not having it and tossed us out-no go! Epic failure on the booking agency. So we wondered around outside in the rain for two hours while the rest of the group was inside.Anatoli was not able to secure another ticket-sold out. Since our tickets were printed and handed to us as we arrived we had no time to check the date….last day in Barcelona ! I requested a refund for the entire tour and was given an amount equal to the failed ticket…so much for customer satisfaction. Lesson here is: always check the dates on your tickets at the beginning of the tour .

Wonderful tour of Montserrat and Barcelona

Joan was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. He was patient and did a great job explain the history of Montserrat and Barcelona. This is a very long tour, so be prepared to walk a lot. Overall, it was a wonderful day.

You won't be sorry...it's a great tour.

Our driver Liana was amazing! She was very informative, took her time with a couple of our group who had mobility issues and was quite engaging 😉 One suggestion would be to have a headset microphone for your guides to better understand them in the vehicle.

Amazing day out at Montserrat and Sagrada Familia

This tour was perfect for us as it packed in just as much as we could handle. The drive up the mountain was amazing. The monastery nestled amidst the rocks and thanks to Theo, our driver and guide we learned a lot about the formation of the rocks and the history of the Moreneta. Theo took us through the Gothic Quarter exploring its history and significance in Barcelona. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a pleasant and helpful personality. He even played the music of Julio Eglesias when he heard we’re very fond of him. We ended the trip with the famous landmark, The Sagrada Familia and we’re not disappointed.

Great way to see Barcelona in 1 day

We made some nice friendships. The Tour pretty covers all there is to see in Barcelona. Couple of suggestions- offer cold water to the passengers. Its a long drive. The driver did a great job with picture taking and explaining history.

It was a busy day, but we managed to see a lot of Barcelona, experience the Sagrada Familia and Montserrat. Our guide, Vicente, was very knowledgeable and provided history, legends, and even some useful tips (restaurant recommendations, the markets locals visit, etc.).

Way too long for a tour for a tourist

This tour was way too long fir a tourist who is often jet lagged and tired from their journey to get here. Suggest to leave out the walking tour of the Gothic area and just get to the chase of the church La Sagrada Familia. Start around 1100 then travel to Montserrat for lunch…..not at 3.30 pm as our tour took then tour of the Monastery and perhaps a ride on the funicular/ cable car. Our tour took nearly 11 hours to complete. Way too long for a tired tourist. No food from 0800 until 1530….. not good. Xavier w as a total gentleman. Breaking into so many languages….I felt uneducated. This tour is too long and needs to be shortened.

Disappointing -

Seeing the two major attractions was the highlight. Disappointed in: tour van was towed and we were asked to give our passports and were interrogated. This process took 2 hours. We did not understand that the La Sagrata Familia was not guided. All of the tour members were unaware that we would be on our own. That should be spelled out more clearly. We felt that we did not get the full experience. No real apology or discount offered for our situation.

Amazing tour with hotel pick-up and drop off. Our wonderful guide Matt, gave us a day that we will never forget. He was friendly, enthusiastic and very professional. I hope to have him again this May when I return with my husband and other family members. I could not have asked for anything more and we loved every minute of this beautiful tour in Spain.

Matt, our tour guide, gave us a fabulous tour of Barcelona and Montserrat. It was the perfect way to see so much of the city as well as the beautiful Montserrat. We started with 6 people and then finished with 4 as the other couple had to leave so we had a private tour with attention paid to detail while also allowing us to go at our own pace. The funicular at Montserrat was incredible. Just a terrific day! Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Anatoli was exceptional! He arrived to collect us from our hotel on time and was attentive and helpful all day. Our walking tour of the Gothic quarter was an unexpected treat where we saw so many sights we would not have found on our own. The time spent at Sagrada Familia was the highlight of our day. A most beautiful building inside and out. To finish the day off, a drive to Montserrat. All together a most wonderful experience and we got see so much in our limited time in Barcelona.
