Overview

Skip the touristic restaurant scene for a small-group food tour of Puerto Morelos, a small fishing village just south of Cancún. I would recommend this tour to anyone! Chris is such a friendly and welcoming person with great knowledge of the area and history of the food we ate. The food was delicious from local eateries ran by families that originated from different regions in Mexico. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were so full by the end. Afterwards Chris even took us to the local doctors to help translate for my partner who ended up having an ear blocked full of sand!! We appreciated it so much and cannot thank him enough. If you find yourself in the area then this tour is a must!

Fantastic Food & Cristobal Rocks!

We had the most amazing experience on the foodie tour with our guide Cristobal. He was so fantastic! Not only did he tailor our food stops based on our individual dietary needs, but he chose extraordinary dishes-each restaurants serving cuisine from different states of Mexico & he was so wonderful & knowledgeable in educating us about each dish, how they were prepared, region from which they came, & chefs who prepared the dishes. I really loved how animated & cheerful Cristobal was coupled with how informative, engaging, & friendly he was. The food was fantastic & I will not forget this experience. Thank you so much!

Great time seeing the local food culture.

Cris is an amazing guide that provided insight into the history of the Cancun region. On our first stop we had some of the most amazing Guacamole ever and a very refreshing hibiscus tea. During the second stop some delicious empanadas and other delicacies. Third stop was for some delicious steak tacos with many different toppings. Final stop included the best churros I've ever eaten.

The Foodie Tour was excellent! Cris was super friendly and informative. We went to places we would never find on our own. Cris hailed down a cab and negotiated a trip past the beach area prior to returning to our resort. Perfect day!

This tour was great! Interesting historical information, great food, good conversation. It was nice getting away from the resorts into a real town and eating very fresh Mexican food with very knowledgeable and pleasant guide.

Fabulous tour! Interesting and enjoyable. Fun to get to know restaurants and street food that I wouldn’t know to try. Come with an empty stomach! There was A LOT of food!

We were a bit sceptical at first because the meeting place was the 711 next to gas station on the Highway. Once we met Chris it was all great. Within 5 minutes we were having a fabulous taste of pork cooked under ground all night with beautiful sauces and spices. Chris was a wonderful food and tour guide. The most interesting part of the tour for us was the link between the people of Mexico , their origins and the traditional cooking from different parts of Mexico who ended up here in Yucatan. The history lesson was fabulous. If we could leave Cris a 10 out of five we would! He was so fun and knowledgeable about the area, the people and the glorious food!!! Thank you Chris!

Chris was such a sweetheart and so informative. It was just me and my daughter for the tour which worked out perfectly. Our favorite meal was the cochinita pibil which i think was our first stop. We learned about fruits as well. He gave us gifts at the end of our tour which was so cute; we truly enjoyed this and would do it again!

Yummy authentic few hours in La Colonia

Charming knowledgeable guide. The pace was just right. Loved the stop at the green market where we sampled a few of the more obscure tropical fruits while standing in the market and experiencing authentic Puerto Morelos life.
