Great experience with our friendly tour guide Axel. We did the 8am tour, before it gets hot. The tour takes you through the mangrove forests and across a part of the lagoon to a secluded beach. It is good exercise but not strenuous. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something off the beaten path!

Mangroves

Axel was our tour guide and was excellent! Showed us around the Lagoon and we got to see few fishes and sting rays. The time at a secluded beach was tranquil! Would love to come here again and explore other parts of the lagoon. Would definitely recommend this kayak tour for others.

Don’t take this horrible trip

Don't take this tour, it's scary. I arrived at the meeting point at the designated time, but I didn't see anyone. After waiting for a while, I contacted the operator asking for help, but no one responded. I contacted customer service, and the service was very slow. Then half an hour later, I suddenly received a reply from the operator saying that I missed the tour as a no show. More importantly, after I took photos of the "attractions". The operator actually followed me and secretly photographed me and threatened me. I have never had such an experience. I thought that most of the people in Mexico were simple people, but here they were actually subjected to physical attacks.

Hello Lingyi, It is unfurtunate that by having lost the tour by showing up 30 minutes late, and not getting a positive refund response from Trip Advisor, you are defaming our service, even when you were offered to reschedule it, you are discriminating against mexicans as simple people. You were never threatened and even less exposed to phisical harm. Rigth now we are reporting your message as defamatory and fraudulent.

This experience was a million times better than expected. Gaby and Axel were amazing. I saw two sting rays, several fish jumping from the water, and so many other fauna. Axel was very knowledgeable and a highly skilled kayaker. He guided us through the mangroves and provided water/fruit. I was struggling learning how to kayak but he had so much patience. 100% would do again

Overall a fantastic tour for the money. Our guide Axel was so kind and accommodating. He did the tour in English with just me and my husband as we were the only 4:00pm but also did some Spanish because he knew we were trying to immerse with some Spanish experience. I was 28 weeks pregnant at the time and they were incredibly accommodating-helping me on and checking on me once in awhile. The area was beautiful and we saw almost all the wildlife from the description. The only problem was finding the location (just past the Residence Inn Hotel). It’s not marked so you need to make sure you have wifi or service a bit before the tour so you can see their messages. If you ride a bus, the nearest stop to the meeting point is about 2 km (not bad unless you’re pregnant! :))

I loved the kayak tour! We saw so many interesting birds and got to go deep into the mangroves, which was really beautiful. The guides were so friendly and it was a relaxing fun time.

Bad business integrity...

I want to clarify that we never did this tour and that this bad review concerns the provider's business integrity. When we made our reservation, the description indicated that snorkeling equipment would be provided, which anyone would (and should) interpret as snorkeling was part of the included activity. Snorkeling was the main reason we decided to purchase their activity. However, we were informed upon arrival that they stopped offering snorkeling activity since the pandemic. We were very disappointed and asked if we could get a refund. Considering it was their mistake to include that information in the description, they were willing to refund us the money we paid even though the deadline for a full refund had passed. We were highly disappointed to learn the provider later went back on their word and refused to refund us with Viator. Of note, we have them say they would do that on video! While I cannot attest to the quality of their tour, I would advise anyone to be cautious when using a provider that values $148 more than their business integrity… :(

Hi Mr. Liran, Viator denied you a refund is because: That you has decided to cancel the activity at the time you had already put on the life jacket, then you had a discussion with your wife about it, some of you want to go to do snorkeling but as I explained to you, this is a kayak tour as our description said, and the snorkeling was just part of it (not more that 10 minutes), sorry if you were confussed about you get a refund, the deadline to have it had passed as Viator let you know at the time that you booked it. When you requested a refund , your reason were WRONG TOUR

Our family of four really enjoyed this kayaking trip. Kayaking through the mangroves was so fun and seeing the baby starfish was definitely a highlight. It kept the attention and interest of our kids who usually get bored on our kayaking trips. Taking photos of us with the guide's phone was a nice touch. It's always a bit risky passing your phone back a forth to take photos.

I try to kayak wherever I travel. My party decided to sleep in and I ended up having a private tour. Kayaking here was a special experience. The scenery is gorgeous and my tour guide Axel pointed out all the flora and fauna and gave me a little history of each. I was native birds, storks, crabs. He also taught me about the mangroves. I was getting a little tired because my kayak was difficult to handle against some of the currents and wind, but Axel gave me tips on how to adjust position so that I could take stress off my back and hips. The equipment could use some upgrading and I could have probably used a larger and flatter kayak. But it was an incredible workout and experience.

The guide and coordinator were both nice and very helpful. The tour itself was very tranquil once you're away from the boating lanes, and you'll end up seeing lots of birds and sea creatures. I did the tour at 12pm, but likely the morning tour would be better for seeing more wildlife and clearer waters

Great Kayaking experience. It was my first time Kayaking and Axel made it a breeze. My favorite part was standing up in the middle of the lagoon.🔥I lost my glasses and Axel even spent time trying to help me find them. Highly recommend.

We were very happy that Wilbert was willing to be our guide. He took his time and showed us so many things we would have missed on our own. It was a relaxed and enjoyable kayak experience that was very thoroughly presented. I great time for a vacation activity. Axel was an amazing guide and so understanding. One of our party got really sick and we asked to cut the trip short. He still truene to give us a nice experience and helped take the sick kayak back so that they wouldn’t have to paddle. 10/10

Our tour guide Axel was great! He was very knowledgeable about the local ecology and wildlife. He also face recommendations on other worthwhile things to do in Cancun. The kayaking was a good workout but nothing too strenuous. Paddling through the mangroves was a lot of fun. The small beach we stopped on was beautiful! We saw lots of fish, birds including some eagles, crabs and a big termites nest.
