Floating along the canals of Cancun in a ‘tranjinera’ (gondola) is a Mexican experience that cannot be missed. This evening tour of Xoximilco, on a traditional tranjinera, ensures an unforgettable experience of a Yucatan fiesta. Feast on a 3-course Mexican meal; sip unlimited tequila, beer, and soft drinks from an onboard bar; and listen to live music performed by mariachi and bolero bands. Each boat has a maximum capacity of 20 passengers.

    Xoximilco is located in Quintana Roo on the Cancun-Chetumal highway Km. 282. Travel time: From Cancún Downtown 30 min, Cancún Intl. Airp. & Moon Palace Hotel 5 min., Puerto Morelos 15 min. and from Playa del Carmen 25 min. You can get to Xoximilco by car, taxi or public transport named Colectivo.

What To Expect

Make your own way to Xoximilco, located a short drive from Cancun and Playa del Carmen, and greet your host. Climb aboard your colorful trajinera, the decoration of which corresponds to the Mexican state, and embark on a cruise of the canals of Cancun.

On board, take a seat to enjoy a 3-course meal inspired by iconic Mexican classics. Refresh with unlimited tequila, beer and soft drinks, served at an open bar, and relish the party atmosphere created by a live mariachi and bolero band.

After your floating fiesta, return to your original departure point and arrange your own transport back to your hotel.

  • The trajineras have a maximum capacity of 20 passengers or 3000 Kg (Covid capacity measures implemented)
  • Most travelers can participate
  • Bring comfortable clothes and shoes, we recommend you to wear long pants.
  • Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking.
  • According to the indication issued by the Government of Quintana Roo, Mexico, we are forced to suspend activities at 11:00 pm. So the park will be opening from 19:00 to 23:00 hr
  • Operation days: Monday to Saturday. Subject to change due to official regulations and availability.
  • The Voucher schedule is informative.
  • Some activities are not recommended for people with heart problems such as the electric shocks
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 100 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

we had a very good time on the Sinaloa boat thingy. our hosts were very kind to our eyes. food was nice. we had plenty of drinks. everyone got drunk and we lived happily ever after.

This turned out to be really fun! Our group of 9 really enjoyed ourselves. The music at each of the stops was so good, and each was different. I wouldn't quite call the food dinner, but rather a sample tasting of a couple different platters. But we had tequila and cold beers! Website said event began at 7 pom so we got there about 6:40 pm. We did not start boarding until 7:45 pm!! They wanted you to shop in the onsite stores (who did not provide bags for purchased merchandise). Definitely a fun time.

What else can I say but, OMG! This was an amazing dinner cruise. I didn't realize that it was a dinner party boat excursion, but I am so glad I got to experience it. I met people from all around the globe. It was truly a great experience. Our tour guide kept us entertained with games, dance, drink, and food. It was sooo much fun! Thank you, Suzette & Sean

I wish we had a more exciting group. This is more so for elderly people. Overall it’s an experience. The bands were great! I would recommend if you want to chill out and maybe dance a little. Really great for elderly people.

While boating around the lagoon and listening to music was magical, I was disappointed by how spiritless the food was - and for such a high price! Not to mention it was almost cold. Also, I really wanted to participate in the songs - maybe we could have had music sheets?
