We absolutely loved this experience with our family and friends. The food was delicious especially the fish tacos! Drinks were great too, especially the Hibiscus margarita! The staff was so friendly and attentive. The beach had a net to catch the red seaweed so we had beautiful blue water. The beach massages were cheap but the best massages we’ve ever gotten. Out of 4 excursions we did on our cruise this week, this was hands down our favorite! I would highly recommend this to anyone who comes here

Relaxing time on beach.

1. it was very confusing to get to restaurant to get taxi service to excursion. 2. its a very tiny place with few plastic lawn chairs in the water. drinks weren’t strong we only got two and left. food was okay. NOT worth the money. can barely enjoy time either because there is a person coming up to you every second trying to sell you stuff with the same company. within 30 minutes of being there over 20 locals came up to us trying to sell same things, just got very annoying so we left.

The most amazing experience

This was the most intimate and personal excursion we had. The service was phenomenal and the staff was kindhearted and treated us like family. The food was absolutely amazing too. I highly recommend this beautiful place!

The overall experience was a mixed bag. The restroom cleanliness was subpar. The drinks, unfortunately, did not meet expectations – lacking in quality. On the upside, the food was a highlight, offering a redeeming factor to an otherwise underwhelming visit.

It was like having our own little resort to ourselves. Right on the beach. Before I could finish one drink, Gwen was down on the beach asking if we were ready for another. Food was amazing and so was the hospitality. Cruising again in March and will book again!

If I could rate a zero I would! Difficult to find contact point. Dogs in the restaurant. Ride to "Beach Club" on wasted roads. As for the hovel they are calling a "Club?" Water is blocked off from ocean so is mostly brackish and so full of trash you had to pull it off every time you put a toe on the water. "Lunch" was three street size tacos we waited 40 minutes for. Tablespoon of meat on cold tortilla. Seriously..nothing else. Drinks had one chunk of ice that gave off brown floating specks as it melted and tasted like watered down lemonade. One teenage boy for all services. It's no wonder we were to only ones at that spot. Spot next door was crowded and they all looked happy. Still very few people in the trashy water. They had no English and we had to sign for the cab back to ship. And then the cab driver said we had to pay him as well. Took 30 minutes to straighten out the mess. Really disappointed that Viator spoke sors this type of trashy place. Sorry I tried to "Treat" my sisters to a day at the beach and got a day in a dump.

Small, Unkept, Dirty, Unsanitary and Run Down

We arrived to a small, dirty and run down spot on the beach. The beach itself was dirty and the food preparation area was not sanitary. We did not even sit down it was so bad. We walked a block up the beach to a beautiful facility as were most.

More of a hidden gem

I had never booked an excursion other than from the cruise line. So, I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I booked this. There are some very mixed reviews, and I was kind of expecting a bigger location, but the service and attentiveness of the staff made up for anything that could possibly have been a negative. So, the beach itself is public which, of course, leads to a lot of people trying to sell things to you. So we spent a lot of time saying no thank you. The swimming area itself is cordoned off so you can't go out too far, and at 6'1 I was always able to touch the ground. I must have misunderstood the requirements, because I thought that it was unlimited food, but it's not. That said the food was fantastic, and the drinks were non-stop and well mixed. I would definitely do this again, but in addition to sunscreen you might want to take bug spray, because I got bit by multiple mosquitoes.

Wasn’t at all what the photos showed. Chairs sat on a small area that looked more like a creek bank rather than ocean. Approximately 50 yards to swim then was this chicken wire fence with trash all on it. Drinks were watered down food was unexpectedly good and the folks working there was super nice. Every two mins though was someone walking by trying to sell you something very aggravating. Nice folks but not at all what I was expecting. Not my first trip to costa maya but my first to a beach there. Although it wasn’t exactly what I expected when the sun popped out the beautiful blue water was breath taking and the super nice folks and their hospitality made it a great day all and all.

The food was good and it was relaxing, and the staff was attentive, but the place was a little run down. It was really bothersome and annoying with people walking up to you every 5 minutes trying to sell you something. Some being very pushy.

This was not an ideal place to go. The seating area was awful not comfortable at all very run down looking and old. The drinks were unlimited for 2hrs but tasted watered down and to have very little alcohol in them. However the staff was nice and the food was good.

Staff were terrific. Food was limited but was very good and all you can eat. Drinks were unlimited and although the beer was unknown it was very good and all the fruity drinks were good as well, and unlimited. The lounge chairs were old and worn as were the plastic chairs. This was not a high end beach club. We had a great day here, relaxed, ate and drank, met some really nice people and would go back. Great price as well. Sure beats a fancy place where nobody cares about the guests, but looks great in a brochure. Great bang for the buck!!

My wife and I came here for the day. The cruise terminal is a bit confusing so ask for directions to the exit. The taxi ride there was quick. The food was spectacular and the drinks kept coming. My only complaint, is you are constantly asked to buy stuff by people walking up and down the beach while you are relaxing.

The only positive here was that the staff was fantastic and the food was good. I think the issue is is more Costa Maya in general. It took us forever to get out of the maze that is the cruise port, and then we had to walk quite a bit to get to the meeting point. We were running late because of that and I tried to both call and WhatsApp the tour operator, but no one responded. When we finally got to the beach, it was an area of restaurants on a terrible beach. The kids couldn’t play in the sand because it was rock hard, and the beach was roped off so you could only be in an area that was 3’ deep at most. There were locals trying to sell their wares every two seconds, so you couldn’t even just relax and read a book. We stayed for 20 minutes and then went back to the ship. So disappointing.

Wonderful staff and people but way to many people selling stuff

We have been to many beautiful beaches and resorts. This one is small but welcoming. The staff, food and drink was excellent. They brought us everything we wanted and the meal was great tasting. They had a small area with chairs and beds with cushions. The beach was nice to walk into the water but not a large sandy area around. It was mostly shady around the sitting areas. They have a water break and a fence around it for safety which took away from the appearance . Understanding that it is a developing area, We would do the same thing again. The port entry was nice and everyone we encountered was kind.
