Wonderful Experience

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this tour. It was our first time on an e-bike and it was really fun and easy to use. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and catered his explanations to our interest. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this tour.

Truly a “Must-Do” Experience!

This was awesome! We did have the perfect weather, so there was a little luck for us, but this was a fantastic experience. Howth is a beautiful town with beautiful homes, cute shops, good food, and a stunning waterfront. We were running late to our tour and thought if we missed it we could just tour the town ourselves.. but we are so glad we made it. Having only made it since we called ahead to let the tour guide know, and she was more than accommodating waiting for not just us, but another group. No one minded in the group and they did their best to move people along if they were in a rush. Anyway, the safety brief was short and we found our e-bike legs pretty quick. We toured the waterfront, a bit through town, through some neighborhoods, and up into the mountains. All the views awesome in their own way. We stopped at several spots where our tour guide gave us some history about each place. We also stopped for some Ice Cream (99s.. you’ll get it later). Our tour guide was AWESOME; very knowledgeable and made sure everyone on the tour maneuvered safely. We are so lucky to have made the bike tour because we would not have had the same experience in Howth on our own. We enjoyed the tour very much, and this company did a great job setting everyone up for success, while giving us great history and easy conversation along the way. We’d do it again just for fun. Don’t mind us.. currently searching homes for sale in Howth.

Rainy Humerus (Bone) Adventure

Despite the torrential rain we had a adventure we wont soon forget. I travelled with my daughter and her boyfriend who are students at UCD and my friend. It was overcast and the Howth Seafood Festival was going on so it was very busy in town. We had made it out of town when suddenly we saw that my friend was not behind us. Our guide Aileen went back where her nephew Hugh was there assisting my friend who took a huge tumble over the handlebars when she overcorrected in the rain. She had hit her face and was unable to move her arms. A man who is married to another guide stopped to assist and got her back to the Yacht Clubbut firsthe took her on a drive to see what she would miss. He was incredibly kind to do that. Many people came to help my friend. Athough we were worried about her, she said she would feel way worse if we all stopped so we continued on our adventure. When it poured we waited under trees but when it cleared we saw some amazing views! I wish it was sunnier but we still had an amazing time and our guides were great! Aileen knew everyone in town and was knowledgeable, funny and compassionate. We enjoyed our trip and I would do it again in a heartbeat! My friend and travelled home the next day to Canada and she spent 16 hours in the waiting room in our local hospital to be told she had a hairline fracture in her humerus which was not humourous. The only treatment is the sling we bought in Dublin. My only suggestion would be for the company to have a proper first aid kit and a plan for injuries and perhaps we needed some time practising with the bikes in the parking lot before moving out onto the streets. I will be back in March with my husband and if the ebikes are ready to be used we will try this trip again and if not we will do the hike. Thank you to Aileen, Hugh and David (husband of another tour guide) for your compassion!

Hi Joanne, We do a thorough safety briefing, we do carry First Aid kits and our Safety records tell us your friend was treated by paramedics. Our difficulty is preventing people who are not fully capable , or experienced, from actually coming out on the tour. See you in March ! Shane

A fun break from the city!

We had a great time on our e-bike tour around Howth! It was a nice break from Dublin city life for the afternoon. We had never ridden e-bikes before & they were so much fun! Our guide was fantastic as well. Plus, we received a cool video at the end of our tour that had photos of us along with a map of our route. It's a great souvenir! We toured around the beautiful coastal town for three hours on the bikes & then the guide gave us a great recommendation for lunch at the end of the pier when we were finished. The catch of the day on the menu is literally just pulled out of the ocean-it was the best fish I have ever had. If you are looking for a quick tour with a little bit of adventure added in, then sign up now- you'll love it!

WOW - Great way to spend the day!

We arrived in Dublin on a cruise ship and chose this activity over any of the ship-offered excursions. It was a straight shot train ride (about 45 minutes) from the pier to the meeting point which was easy to locate. This tour did not disappoint! In addition to the beautiful scenery, Aileen was full of area knowledge and was a complete pleasure to ride with. Would definitely do this again!

Our bike tour with Aileen was so much fun! As a local she has a lot of information about the area and its history. The route was scenic and safe. The bikes are easy to operate and comfortable to ride. We love the photos she took of all of us, and shared afterwards.

First time on an e-bike and it was relatively easy to operate with not too much effort. Karen and Aileen are wonderful locals with great love for Howth! We had gorgeous weather the day we went which I do think enhances the experience. Beautiful sceneary and great way to see the beauties of Ireland!

Conor was the best guide, bar none! We had a truly magical experience--our ride took us around the entire peninsula including breath-taking vistas, lovely neighborhoods, and lush expanses of green grass, so nice after being in the city! We couldn't have asked for anything more. :)

This was an amazing experience! The best part of our trip to Dublin. My teenage boys loved it. Our tour guides Eileen, Connor, and Hugh were so knowledgeable and full of fun historical info. We loved exploring off the beaten path and seeing Howth. Lunch after at Octopussy was fab.
