Traveler Tips

The gallery is not airconditioned so take a fan or something to keep cool on a hot day.
Worth the time and cost of a well guided tour.
It is worth it to get an appreciation of attractions that you would otherwise walk past and not understand the history.

We couldn’t understand the guide. His English was not easy to understand. The tour was good at a good price.
Giovanna Gives a Wonderful Tour!

Perfect city walking tour from Uffizi to Accademia. Giovanna has a wonderful sense of humor and is very knowledgeable about her city. Great history lesson with a bit of spice included!
Travel to Florence in November

Our tour guide Claudia was knowledgeable and made sure that we had the opportunity to ask questions. Though this was a skip the line tour the volume of people at the Accademia was so heavy that her colleague went ahead of even though we had the earlier time slot but Claudia was firm about how our group should have been let in earlier. Claudia was very responsible and and excellent guide and provided an important tip that travel is best in November.
If you have time break this tour into two.

This is a great tour to do early on in your stay if you will be here a while. The tour guide brought us to several different spots and pointed out somethings we were able to go back to and really take a good long look at. I will say I had NO IDEA who the tour was with and got lucky by just walking up to groups and asking them. I didn’t see any company name mentioned in my booking. Turned out to be City something so FYI! I didn’t have Internet which I hadn’t thought of otherwise I would have reached out to the tour guide through the app ahead of time. Our tour guide was so warm and welcoming. I do wish we had more time in the museum to focus on more of the pieces. That part felt a bit rushed, but it was a lot to fit in a small amount of time. If we were to do this type of tour again I would probably break it into two. We did go with small children (3, 1 and 1) and they were welcomed. I didn’t have a hard time keeping up, but we did lose someone’s husband.

The walking tour was a great way to see some major highlights and areas of Florence! Our guide was so knowledgeable and spoke English very clearly! I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the historical side of the city. There was Lots of standing and about 3 miles of walking.
Informative and great!

Great tour with a great guide! Would recommend to a friend and was easy to locate in the beginning. Very nice
Worst guide tour we’ve had :(
Lorena_O, Sep 2023
Unfortunately, it was a waste of time - it was our last day in Florence. We couldn’t understand anything the guide Maximiliano was saying, even asked him a few details and he just ignored us and kept walking or didn’t understand us. He left the whole group behind by a block several times, always in a rush. We learn nothing. After 3 blocks 80% of the group took off the headset and started talking among themselves… horrible experience.
Worst of my last ten tours
Jonathan_S, Sep 2023
Not a very good tour . Guide was very repetitive and spent more time promoting herself and her friends bussinesses that commenting on the sights of the city.

A great way to kick off your sightseeing in Florence
Mark_L, Sep 2023
We participated in the small group walking tour in Florence with entrance into the Accademia and see Michelangelo’s “David” with a start time of 10am. It was a fantastic experience and we learned a lot from the tour. Walking around the Uffizi and learning about its history and also getting an understanding of how the sights around Florence are located was helpful in this tour. Our guide provided a lot of background on Michelangelo and his other works. Truly fascinating and something that reading a tour book as you walk the sights can’t replace. Highly recommended first tour of Florence!
Florence has a lot to see, this is a taster
Tim_B, Sep 2023
Valentina (our guide) was excellent. Of course Michelangelo's works at the Accademie are stunning. Totally lives up to his reputation. Other works there also amazing. See the development of art before your eyes from the original vibrant works. The stories on the streets were full of detail depth and humanity.
Great balance of walking, city/ regional history, art and religion.
StacieJE_S, Sep 2023
Great tour guide. Easy to understand and loved the stories he told us of what happened in Florence (the history, the families, the art) .
Great tour!

Excellent experience

This tour was exactly as announced . Although we were told sometimes there are some delays when getting in the gallery in our cases we didn’t even wait 5 minutes . Stefano’s explanations were very clear and his accent really good and easy to understand . I totally recommend it .

Excellent city walking tour. Guide was very informative about the history of the area and surrounding neighborhoods, buildings, statues etc. It finishes with David in the Accademia which was wonderful. The background information was insightful and the skip the line was well worth it!
