Overview

Diving from the shore offers easy entry and exit, a short surface swim and plentiful marine life. This small-group dive on Kauai is for certified divers and takes place at the most popular south shore dive site, in the protected Hanaka’ape Bay. The large horseshoe-shaped bay allows you to dive in two distinct areas, perfect for a two tank excursion, where you may encounter Hawaiian green sea turtles, up to seven species of moray eels, octopus and hundreds of tropical fish.

    Koloa Landing DIVE SITE - NOT hotel USING ROUND ABOUT IN POIPU AS THE START POINT: Take the exit following signs to "SPOUTING HORN". IMMEDIATELY take your first LEFT onto Hoonani Road. DO NOT TURN YOUR STEERING WHEEL ON THE CAR. Look for telephone pole with a dive flag that says "Koloa Landing".

The visibility was not up to Hawaii standards but the crew was the best. They were right there with me pointing out many of those elusive creatures living on the reif. Thanks guys!!

Great day diving! It feels like your in an aquarium so many fish, and loved the gear and wetsuit as well as snacks and guide were all included. Loved the convenience of the dive location. If your looking to dive but don’t want to do a full day excursion of the boat this is the way to go.

Excellent Shore Dive

We did the 2 tank shore dive for certified divers and don’t have enough nice things to say. This was a guided dive and our dive master Robert was very knowledgeable about the area and history of Koloa Landing. We saw around 14 sea turtles, stonefish, butterfly fish, multiple different varieties of eels, kihikihi, and lots of surgeon fish, as well as multiple other varieties of sea life. Would definitely dive with Dive Kauai again.

Captain Drake and Landon were Awesome! But beware if it is windy/choppy for a future storm. The swells were 15-20ft high and six ours on a zodiac in that type of weather was overwhelming. Breathtaking views and crew is awesome and making it fun and informational just not a smooth ride.

This was absolutely the best adventure we had while in Kauai. Josh, our dive master, was knowledgeable, curious, funny and helpful. 100% recommend! We saw tons of marine life and had an amazing time!

Overall very good experience. Top level equip in excellent condition. Well managed by the dive master, Emily. The reef is minimal with some beautiful life. Good refresher or warm up dive.

Josh welcomed me to the dive sight and handled everything well. I had trouble with my electronic PADI card, and Josh handled it. We had a small group and were well taken care of. The sight is full of amazing fish and beautiful coral. Both dives were relaxing and full of colorful fish. I would highly recommend the tour.
