When I see the thousands of hair. And shoes of Jews murdered by German SS soldiers and my experience when we went down to salt mine
History not to miss but to be remembered

I thought I knew alot about Auschwitz, and I did/do. But seeing up close is horrifying. I took it all in, every bit of our amazing knowledgable guide’s information. I bought a couple of books & a video at the gift store. While I’m not Jewish, my family members were taken as children to 4 different camps b/c they were Slav’s. They were used as slave labor. They never talked about their experience. I also had a tailor at home who showed me his arm (with his tattooed identity, & I took care of a patient in the hospital who was a child in Auschwitz the only camp where they tattooed). The experience was amazing, educational & reverent. I come back to my hotel, looked at the back jackets of the books I bought there, read & cried. Never forget the evil that is in this world. We must all remember the atrocities that mankind participated in. Never ever forget b/c as the saying goes, history repeats itself. This tour was educational, well preserved & Im grateful that I was allowed to see this place as it was, somber & a place that is now sacred b/c of the many lives tortured & lost there. May they rest in peace!
