Made sure we were happy
Nicole_S, Apr 2024
Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. My father became I'll on the day of our tour so we had to cancel last minute. The tour staff offered the same tour the next day. My father, being a WW II buff was beyond thrilled. He thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Excellent tour

Our guide explained the war involving Oliver Cromwell and King Charles the First and we heard about that again at the tour of Shakespeare’s Globe.
Worth the time!!

Nathan is a terrific tour guide. He has a deep knowledge of Churchill and London in WW2, and was able to speak knowledgeably on several other subjects as well. Our group peppered him with numerous questions and he was very engaging. Highly recommended and very well priced.
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Don't think we've met a question yet that Mr Nathan, Mr Tour Guide Extraordinaire, didn't have the answer for. So great to hera you had such a wonderful and worthwhile time with him. Thanks for choosing to saunter with US for your Churchill & London in WW2 walking tour.

Good over of Westminster
Ben_S, Nov 2023
Very well-informed guide and easy access to the War Rooms following the tour. Enjoyed learning facts about the war memorials near the river and about various battles. Overall however, the tour loosely centered around WW2. Maybe there isn't that much more WW2 information to share, but I felt the tour included unrelated stops and information, such as the Horseguard Parade. The tour wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting based on the title.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
We're so pleased to hear that you found our lovely tour guide knowledgeable and that you enjoyed the tour and the war rooms as a whole. We are reasonably surprised to hear that you found some of the content off-topic as this is the first time - we usually hear the opposite! While Westminster didn't suffer the Blitz-era devastation that our Docklands and East End did, we always found it an important place to talk about the war, primarily because as the centre of government and also, home of our royals, a lot of the decisions were made here that would affect outcomes, not just for us Brits, but for the whole war effort of the Allies. I'd imagine the guide added those extra stops to give context to Westminster at large. We really do appreciate you taking the time to leave this review - we love honest feedback! And of course, thanks so much for choosing to saunter with US.
A walking, talking history lesson……with facts not found in most history books!!
Victoria_N, Nov 2023
Our tour guide, Nathan, was extremely knowledgable. He showed us the well know buildings and have us facts about smaller things you would not notice walking round on your own.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
Nathan is an encyclopaedia of WW2 (and basically all other) knowledge on legs, right? Happy to hear you found your time with him on your walking tour so worthwhile. Thanks for choosing to saunter with US.
Great Half Day in Westminster
Karlyn_B, Oct 2023
Highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Nathan, was top notch. His knowledge of history and his ability to communicate the information in a clear and engaging manner made for an extremely enjoyable 1.5 hour guided tour through Westminster. I would not hesitate to join other guided walks hosted by him. The Churchill War Rooms is fascinating. Being in the actual underground bunker with many rooms set up (close to) as they actually were gives a great appreciation of the space and time in history.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
We are never quite sure where Nathan fits all the knowledge in that head of his but somehow… there it is! Really pleased your time spent with him and within the War Rooms themselves were such a worthwhile experience for you. Thanks for choosing to saunter with US.
WWII and Winston Churchill
Susan_J, Oct 2023
Nathan was very knowledgeable and engaging! The explanation of the WWII memorial was fascinating. War heroes I’ve never heard of and now I have. Excellent tour.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
We're pretty sure that what Nathan doesn't know, isn't worth knowing. So glad you got what you expected and more – thanks for choosing to saunter with US.

My guide Amber was fabulous, bringing Churchill back to life - you wouldn’t want to miss a thing from that fascinating story about this stunning man ! For everybody who’s really interested in WW2 and great Winston. Thanks Amber for that unique experience!
Response from Host, Sep 2023
It's such an interesting but complex part of our history, and it takes a stellar guide to really bring that to life. We are unsurprised but thrilled to hear that the amazing Amber did just that for you. Thanks so much for choosing to saunter with US.
Great walking tour with a great tour guide!

Agnieszka_S, Aug 2023
Nathan was our tour guide and he was excellent. We could tell that he was passionate and knowledgeable about history. Besides he was telling us funny facts about Churchill and his life, which made the whole experience even more memorable and interesting.
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Not just knowledgeable and passionate but hilarious too. Think Nathan might just be the perfect guide, eh? Thanks for choosing to saunter with US.
Great guide.
Jeff_M, Aug 2023
Nathan was one of the best! Witty, informative and knowledgeable. I thought the tor would be longer, but it ended after one hour. Well done, though.
Great experience
Natasha_S, Jul 2023
I learned so many new things about top sites like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and 10 Downing St., in addition to all of the history about the city in general. Guide was very informative and really passionate about the topic which made for a really wonderful tour! I also love that the Churchill war room tickets are an add on to this tour. It ends there and you can spend as long as you want, but it’s optional and can end there if you’ve already been.
A great snapshot of British history
stephanie_c, Jul 2023
Our family (children aged 13, 18 and 20) found the tour extremely informative and a great way to see a number of the sites in and around Westminster. Francis our guide was very knowledgeable, approachable and a great story teller. The Churchill Museum was certainly a highlight of the tour.
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Spinning incredible yarns is one of Francis’ many many skills eh? Glad to Hear your time with him on your tour was fun for all the family. Thanks so much for choosing to saunter with US.
Would do again
Eileen_H, Jul 2023
Very well informed guide. Small group. Meeting place was a bit of a pain to find but once there was fine. Dense amount of info in 1.5 hours. Well timed and well organized.
Response from Host, Jul 2023
So happy to hear that the tour was absolutely stuffed with info for you - it’s definitely a complex period of history to cover in one tour and are thrilled to hear you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for choosing to saunter with US.
