Some areas of the Abbey are dimly lit and some chapels have low doorways. Much of the floor and many steps are uneven.
Comfortable shoes are recommended
Visitors are kindly asked to dress in a “respectful manner” during their visit to the Abbey.
During the winter months the Abbey can get incredibly cold, so try to dress warmly.
You will skip the tickets line but security checks are mandatory

Our guide Lucy was absolutely outstanding. She guided us through the crowds easily and was a fount of information about Westminster Abbey. She guided us to the interesting places and showed us things that we would have easily missed otherwise. It was a bit expensive but was worth every penny.

Denisa was amazing! Or daughter of 8 and 9 years old love it! Was our favorite tour. If you really want to enjoy and learn about the Westminster Abbey, this is the tour. Denisa was full of knowledge and Kees up captive and interested all the time. Our daughter and us learn so much about history, religion, politics and more information. She even helps us to get the right souvenirs. Don’t try another tour (we did and was son disappointed). We highly recommended this tour. Thanks Denisa!!

Lucy was extreme knowledgeable and gave us a comprehensive tour of the 13th to 16th centuries and British history We saw the setting for the Coronation, the shrine of St Edward the Confessor, the tombs of kings and queens, memorials of many famous poets, warriors and musicians . Five stars for this tour !

We were fortunate to have Lucy as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She tailored our tour to what we were interested in. I have had tours of Westminster Abbey before but this time far exceeded the others. The stories she shared along with the historical information kept us engaged. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. If you are interested in really understanding what's in the Abbey and what it is used for, as well as the incredible amount of history inside, this is the tour for you! Easy and Informative Way to Visit One of the Great Sites in London

Not my first visit to Westminster Abbey, but my first with a guide, and I enjoyed the fast pass entrance and going in through the Dean's Yard. Mehru was wonderful about reaching out ahead of time to understand what I was interested in seeing. There were 2 special treats - we were able to join a small service in the Confessor's Sanctuary and experience an otherwise closed part of the Abbey, and we ran into a friend of Mehru's and her colleague, both of whom work in conservation at the Abbey. A nice way to revisit the site and have a new set of experiences.

Worth every penny to skip the massive line and enter the Abby immediately. We enjoyed having a personal orientation to the building and an explanation of all the important aspects we were viewing. The building is simply too big with too much included to try and navigate it without a guide.
