What To Expect

With your booking voucher in hand, head into central London to start your sightseeing adventure at any of the numerous stops around town. The open-top double-decker buses operate on three different routes—blue, red, and green—and offer a wide selection of places to get on and off.

How long you stay on board is up to you. Disembark at stops such as Buckingham Palace, Brompton Road for shopping at Harrods, or the Victoria and Albert Museum for art and culture in the center of town. Alternatively, use the hop-on hop-off tour ticket to reach the start point for your river cruise or self-guided walking tour. Both are included as “extras” with your hop-on hop-off tour ticket.

Hop back on the bus as many times as you wish in the 1-day, 24-hour, or 48-hour duration of your ticket, and listen to audio commentary to learn about the sights as you ride.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We were jetlagged after just arriving in London that morning. This was a nice way to be able to sit comfortably and get a ton of good information and your bearings. The filler music got very repetitive after awhile - would shake that up a bit - but you learn a lot.

Peace of mind at first, but unnecessary and wasted money

Unfortunately there were no maps provided of WHERE to find a bus and ZERO signage indicating buses which were “Viator friendly” so we had no idea which buses we could hop on or off. We checked with many drivers of other tour buses but they didn’t accept Viator “tickets”. We ended up paying a whole nother round of tickets with a local tourbus. Note to tourists; you do NOT need to book one of these buses online- just go to London and in most central areas (near tube or train stations or city buses) you’ll see them all over the place. As to the Thames tour, again, NO SIGNAGE anywhere to tell you which boats you can ride! the boat tour was great but Viator is a THIRD PARTY AGENT so they literally do not have any visual presence on the street level, and your tour will be good or bad based on the local providers. Ps Bring UK cash to tip your guides!!!

After flying all night and then checking into hotel and sleeping - we thought we missed the first of our 48hour ticket. Thankfully, when we did board the next day we were pleasantly surprised to find that the 48 hours start after you first board! So we didn’t waste our money. After walking all morning, it was great to ride on the bus and see the sights. I like the audio that accompanied it telling of the different things.

Great way to see London. Buses come regularly (every 10 minutes). App allows real time view. Only complaint hours were not listed and blue tour ends early and it’s not real clear how to do the boat tour. However, You just go to pier and go to company (which is at end of them) and give your booking info.

Horrible. I had rented a car to drive due to one of my children's disabilities. There was no public parking anywhere I had researched, so we missed out on everything since I couldn't park the car anywhere.

App could use improvement.

I do feel that the app was helpful for a map of where the stops were, but the location of the busses was not accurate. The bus we were on would not be on the map at all or a bus would disappear from the map totally. This would have been helpful to plan getting to a stop at a better time instead of blindly waiting for a bus for 10-15 mins. The experience itself was great. It was a great way to get far across London and see everything while getting audio commentary through the headphones.

I found this company to be the best. Often others got on to say they first went with the other company and was unreliable. I took the two day pass. Drivers were great, buses on time and sights were great. The audio was great, bus was clean.

What a great way to see London and learn about the different areas of it! We had so much fun riding the bus around, even in the cold, upper layer of the bus! We hopped on and off when we wanted to and took a beautiful boat ride down the Thames at the end of the day. We would highly recommend this tour for sightseers!
