What To Expect

Your half-day London tour begins in the city center. Meet your guide and grab a seat in the vintage red double-decker bus, then sit back and take in fantastic views of the city awakening around you. As you ride, hear interesting anecdotes about passing local sites such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and Westminster Abbey—the venue for every coronation since the 11th century and 16 royal weddings!

Next head to the banks of the Thames River, where you get an up-close view of the formidable Tower of London. Built by William the Conquerer in the 11th century, the site has a long and stormy history as a prison and execution site. Before continuing on, hear a bit about the famous Beefeater Guards and the Crown Jewels that are housed in the impenetrable fort.

At Tower Pier, board a sightseeing boat and grab a seat in the glass-encased saloon or on the open deck. Drift in comfort along the banks of the historic Thames River and discover London’s history through lively audio commentary. Relax as the boat makes a short loop under the London Bridge, passing the Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and the London Eye.

Most of the time, the speaker system did not work, so it essentially was a visual tour, not an audio tour. Plus our guide, who was very well intentioned, walked very fast and because of our age it was hard for us to keep up with the group.

A bus tour ahead of the rest.

Our Tour Guide & Driver Were AMAZING

We did the 13:00 tour on Saturday 02.12.2023. Our tour guide and bus driver were both amazing!!! Very professional, knowledgeable and adapted the tour to suit all passengers ensuring all questions were answered and needs met. Nothing was too much trouble for these two gentleman as they really did make the tour that extra bit special. At every opportunity we got to take photos and our tour guide ensured that we had group photos with our friends/family (nobody was left out) The trip was great however we honestly believe it would not have been as good if we had of had a different tour guide and bus driver. The bus drivers name was Kevin but we cannot remember the name of the tour guide (sorry) he was from Dublin though. These two are assets to your business so ensure you recognise them and retain them!

This was our first trip to London and we had a great time on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept us moving. It was fun to be on the bus and then on a boat. The views from the boat were amazing. We ended our outing with the traditional fish and chips which was a perfect ending. I highly recommend this tour!

Loved the tour around London area and cruising the Thames River. Dave was a very knowledge and helpful guide and provided helpful tips for after the tour. Really appreciated Dave taking photos of us at the various locations. Trevor was a great driver and very friendly. River cruise was delayed which caused us to miss the changing of King’s horses, but not the fault of our guide. Dave filled time with a short walk and more history of the city. Overall great tour.

Tour did not follow published itinerary. Skipped changing of the guards, etc. Viator is refusing my request for a refund.

This was so good. Adam our tour guide was fabulous with a few good/bad puns along the way lol! Saw so much of London both on the bus and the river cruise. The fish and chips and pint at the Jugged Hare was a great finish to a brilliant afternoon. Would highly recommend.

Vintage Bus a Bust

Unfortunately, our tour was very disappointing. Our party was split up because of travel delays and we missed the deadline for canceling 4 of our 6 tickets by 20 minutes. We went straight from the airport to the tour so had to cart our luggage all around. It was probably the hottest day ever in London—in the high 90’s—and we were not dressed accordingly. The heat from the street was coming up into the cab of the bus so it felt like the heater was on. (We were assured it was not). Being inside the bus limited our view and the tour guide was pointing out areas of interest that were going by so quickly we couldn’t get our bearings. Because of the steep circular stairway to the top deck, there was no way we could make that climb. The PA system in the bus was horrible so we had to wear ear plugs to filter out the offensive noise. The guide seemed frustrated—probably sweltering in his costume. The only redeeming factor was the boat ride on the Thames at the end of the tour. There was enough of a break before the boat tour for us to change our clothes into shorts, sleeveless tops, and sandals.

Informative bus ride through London

While we did enjoy our tour , it wasnt what the tour group advertised. The itinerary read that we would make stops along the route but the only stop we made was when we were getting on the river cruise. Nick was a great guide; very knowledgeable and looked after his group by making sure we all got back to where we were meant to be. I think for the cost, if you just want a bus ride around London, look into others that may offer afternoon tea or if you want to explore a bit more do the hop on hop off bus. The river cruise was 30 minutes and was on a lovely boat, however you can see just as much , if not more by just jumping on a regular river boat.

Tour was alright, Guide could have been more conscious of his customers.

Most of the tour was good, a little hard to hear Magnus while on the bus, a lot of feedback from the microphone What left a sour note to the tour, there was a handicapped woman on the tour, and Magnus would not wait for her to catch up to the group, she was a little slow but not by much. We actually had to run up to Magnus and ask him to wait for the woman before he crossed a street and let them know which way he was going to be headed. When the husband of the woman asked why he didn't wait, Magnus just said he had 30 others he had to think of. Never good to end a tour on a sour note that is what you remember

Great tour and excellent guide. Only issue was the long wait for the short cruise down the thames. Tour DOES NOT end at starting point. Had to take the tube back which was a little confusing!
