Overview

Beginner snorkelers will feel safe and comfortable learning about the sport during this small-group class. With a maximum of four people, you’ll spend some time talking about snorkeling theory, then head to the shallows to practice with some flotation devices. After that, head to deeper water to search for turtles and other marine life. Your guide will remain with you the entire time to ensure your safety and comfort.

What To Expect

Learn to snorkel comfortably and safely on this small, intimate group snorkel lesson in Maui. Non-swimmers and first-time snorkelers are all welcome.

You’ll easily meet your guide at the departure point, and then you’re provided with all of your gear. Learn about how your mask, snorkel, and fins work, and how to use them effectively. You’ll spend some time in shallow water, getting comfortable with your gear and learning about water safety.

After your shallow water practice, you’ll go out on a paddleboard where you have the chance to see more underwater life, like colorful fish and turtles.

If you ever feel insecure, your instructor will be right there to hold your hand if necessary.

This was a great tour. The guide was super friendly and accommodating. We brought our kids (age 6/10). The guide was very accommodating when it came to the kids. My kids had so much fun they talked about the tour for days afterwards. We highly recommend this tour.

this snorkeling experience was so amazing. ally was our tour guide/mermaid. she was so kind and radiant! she made my wife that couldnt swim very comfortable in the water. she took her time with her, and gave her breaks and space to relax in the water, but pushed her to explore. i would definitely recommend this to someone that is fearful of the water and maybe just needs a gentler guide to show them the loveliness of the ocean sea.

This experience was AMAZING!!! Starting with the owner and instructors are A+ . They make you feel secure and confident. They make sure you’re comfortable at all times. When you are in the water is an indescriptible feeling, is a totally different world. Do not hesitate and live this experience it is worth it !!!! Also make sure to also say yes to the recording video , it’s a separate service but totally worth it !!!!

Ryan and Seth were amazing guides. They were very attentive to my 6 year old and I for our first experience together. She was worried, but they made her feel so comfortable and she didn’t want to get out of the water. It was a great day and we were able to see a lot of sea life including turtles! I will do this again when we come back. Honestly can’t say enough about how great they were.

It was amazing experience. Staff was friendly and gave personal attention. Great for beginners who do not know swimming or has never done snorkeling before. There was only one turtle spotted during our visit but plenty beautiful fishes, corals to see on the ocean flour

Excellent. Amazing….. The crew is amazing. There are the local group who knows the water and they are not commercialized. They take small Groups and give personal attention to every individual. My husband was non swimmer and scared of water, but the crew took good care of him and he enjoyed his first snorkeling experience. My 8 year old also felt so comfortable. My family and I enjoyed and felt comfortable in the ocean because of the guides. I 💯 recommend this company and rate 5/5 for the dedicated crew

This was the best experienced we’ve had, hands down!! We are a family of six; the majority knowing how to swim with the exception of myself and my son. I was adamant about not snorkeling, but the instructors were amazing and were always checking up on me, my son, and the rest of the family. I highly recommend this company. Make sure to get the video because it is well worth it, my husband and I were in awe of how amazing the video quality was and how Juliano really captured everyone and everything!! Thanks again to everyone at My Splash, you are all awesome : )

we would definitely do this again! I took my 17 and 15-year-old son: Benjamin and Seth were great. Made everyone feel comfortable and were Informative in identifying and other urchins, etc. We at least four turtles, and an octopus. And of course, many many fish. Highly recommend anybody do this!

Wonder experience. We were scheduled for Wednesday, but since the sea was a little rough, the owner of the company seascootersnorkeling.com advised us to postpone to Wednesday. Thatw as a great helpful advice, The owner was a really helpful man. Our Guides were Ryan & Seth and they were just fanstastic. I signed up for the family $150 video also, turned out really good, and the underwater videography with turtles were done by Juliano vitta gorga. My wife did not know swimming, but the guides were helpful and she had a wonderful experience. Would recommend this to all, THUMBS UP

Such an amazing experience! I was thrilled to see this offering for non-swimmers. I am a not swimmer, but would love to get to enjoy the view under the water. With this experience, I not only get to learn how to Snorkle, under the guidance and support of the instructors, I got to take off my life jacket and learn how to float and swam a bit in open water! I had a blast! Tristen, Seth, Ryan, and Juliano were amazing, funny, the best instructors and host! If you are not a swimmer and want to experience the reefs and swim with the Honu, this is the best tour for you!

Had the best time with my 6 year old! Guides were so attentive and gave him such a good experience even though he was content checking things out from safe atop the “boat” while I explored. Super informative, kind and safe guides. Great trip for kiddos who are not great swimmers yet.

If you really want to snorkel in Maui but you are nervous to do it, book this beginner/non swimmer tour! My husband and I both really wanted to snorkel but we had never done it before and didn’t know what to expect. Seth and Ryan made us feel extremely comfortable in the water and we had so much fun. They take you out on a raft and you are able to jump in and hold onto the raft if you’re nervous or just swim around on your own if you’re comfortable. After a few minutes in the water we were feeling comfortable enough to swim around on our own a little. We saw sea turtles, an eel and tons of cool fish. The reef was also incredible to see. The company had another group of more experienced snorkelers out at the same time. Their guide Abby seemed awesome too. Highly recommend this company!!

My husband and kids-14 and 11 are there. Son knows how to swim. Daughter knows a bit, husband does not know. Coaches are patient and fun. They had lots lots of fun, they saw turtle, touched sea urchines, they even took off life jacket and learn to dive and flip in ocean! The professional video took under water are amazing too, very precious memory! Thanks!

An amazing experience! Highly recommended. The guides were amazing, gentle and making sure we were comfortable the whole time. They also spent extra effort to make sure we saw sea turtles! There is also an optional video package which can make great memories. This activity is a must-do!

Perfect for non-swimmers. Me and my wife don't know swimming and we're a bit nervous about going snorkeling. Tristan and his team were super friendly and helpful and by the end of the session both of us had enjoyed a great session of snorkeling. We even got to see multiple turtles during our session. Highly recommend!
