Wonderful Tour for Couples and Small Groups

My girlfriend and I booked a 10:30 small group tour. Since we were the only ones during that time slot, we had a private car ride from Roberto to and from the pyramids, a wonderful private tour given by Ruben, and a private meal at a restaurant. We really enjoyed ourselves and having the entire tour to ourselves was a great surprise! Ruben was an excellent tour guide and he made our time at the pyramids very special. The food and cold beers after being in the sun was perfect, too. I think we would have liked to skip the tequila tasting and artesenal market and would have liked to shop at the markets in town, but we did learn quite a bit about the agave plant and obsidian.

Ruben was very passionate and knowledgeable about the ruins and their history. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the pulque he shared with us at the end of the tour. Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend this tour. Ruben is a very kind and knowledgeable guide. He was born in the area and is an incredible resource if you want to go deeper into Titihuacan history. I would not recommend coming here without a guide. There is minimal signage and you won't understand the significance of the architecture and preserved drawings unless you have the kind of context that someone like Ruben can provide. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and driven by private car to the site where we met our guide and joined a handful of participants. The tour concluded with a nice meal at a small family run restaurant. We really can't say enough about Ruben's hospitality and generosity as a host/guide. Aside from the tour being well organized his expertise was the highlight and we would recommend the tour for that reason.

My wife and I took this tour in Feb 2024. Seamless pick up experience - our driver was on time and was easy to find. Note that you drive out to a central base before going to Teotihucan - we met with another couple before going on the tour. Tour itself was fantastic - our guide (Reuben) was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Lunch afterwards was excellent and well worth the extra charge.

Great tour all around. Communication was fantastic, both via Viator and WhatsApp. They made sure to check our address the day before and reached out to confirm when Google maps didn’t look right. They also let us push our start back an hour the night before. Transportation was on time and comfortable with a cautious, comfortable driver. Our guide was also fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and had all sorts of books and pictures to reference as he gave the tour. This company is definitely worth booking with.

Our guide grew up in the neighborhood, incredible to think the site was his playground when he was a kid :D At the start of the tour we asked if we could see the structure of the feathered snake and our kind guide changed the itinerary for us. Think it helped since we were early, we had the pick up at 7am. Which I can only recommend, we had a big tour with a lot of information. The site is amazing and Ruben is very knowledgeable and passionate. The food afterwards was delicious, specially the mole!

The price of our tour was a little on the high side compared to others but we enjoyed it. We opted to meet the group at a central point, instead an Uber driver picked us up and gave us a private ride to the pyramids, waited for us the entire time and then took us back to our Airbnb. Pretty sweet. Although he didn't speak English, he was quite pleasant. Upon arriving at a meeting point we waited a few minutes for our tour guide and others in our group. Our guide, Ruben, was very knowledgeable about the pyramids and their history. He was very kind and spent more time with us than we had expected. He brought along a book with photos and had lived his entire life in the area so he knew it well. That said, he had a great English vocabulary, but had a thick accent and at times was a little difficult to follow. The pyramids were amazing and really something to marvel at. After the pyramids we went to a very small, nearby, museum, which in my opinion we could have skipped. We went back to our original meeting point and had a delicious lunch that was made fresh to order and they were very accommodating with our special request. After that our private driver took us directly back to our hotel. The entire trip was from 8:20 to 3:40 again, more than we had expected.

Our tour guide, Rubin was very knowledgeable about the ancient people and culture of Teotihuacán. Choose the lunch option! We went back to Rubin’s family restaurant and had delicious Mexican food. I played guitar with Rubin and learned a few great songs. Was not expecting that!

Driver on time to pick us up at our destination from CDMX to Teotichucan. Excellent driver. Our tour guide Ruben met us at restaurant and we were driven to sites. Before our tour, the propreitess asked if we had any food allergies or dietary restrictions (which we do not, but nice to ask). Ruben gave an excellent, very detailed tour of the ruins, which went well over two hours. Afterwards we had lunch - this was not some touristy TGI Friday's touristy restaurant, the food was excellent! Enchilladas with mole were to die for! Back in CDMX by 4 pm. Yes it was a little pricey, but well worth it.

Mr. Ruben is an excellent tour guide. He grew up near the pyramids, and shared his stories about his grandparents' house. Love the pictures and maps he shared which helped us understand how the place used to look and how the people used to live back in that historical period.

Ruben is the best tour guide you could hope for. He is passionate about the subject, local to the area, and carries a satchel filled with charts, images, and books that answer any detailed questions you might have about this fascinating site. He's friendly, excited to share the great details, and eager to share what is clearly a wealth of knowledge accumulated over years of dedicated study. Teotihuacan itself is a must see, but without a knowledgeable guide like Ruben it would be a shadow of the experience you deserve. Furthermore, the food his family's restaurant provides at the end of the tour is delicious and hospitable.

Everything was wonderful about this tour. Our driver and guide were great. Our guide especially had such a great knowledge of the site and was interesting to learn from. The food at the end was also wonderful. We were with our son who lived in Puebla for a year and he takes good mole seriously, and he said the mole we were served for lunch was as excellent as any he's had.
