good in principal, but not a great day.
Jill_M, Apr 2024
I gave this tour a 3 star because the guide tried really hard to make a good tour. I would not recommend this tour for a few reasons. It is way too long, and the description is not what the tour turned out to be. We wanted to do the boats and Frieda museum, but there were several other stops that made the tour go on for 10 hours. I would prefer to see the museum, then walk around the square and marketplace. The museum doesn't require a guide, so this is one you can just get tickets and do at your own pace. The boat portion was fun, and I would recommend doing that with a guide. The combination is just exhausting. Our guide was also put in the position of doing everything in english, then in Spanish for one person who didn't speak English. This should not be a multilingual tour, it just takes too long. We ended up leaving the group at the museum and having dinner in the square and an uber back.
Beautiful day!

Most of this trip was fantastic! However, we did not follow the literary that was listed on the tour and we made an extra stop at a silver store for shopping. This could have been skipped, I would have preferred more time at Coyoacán market. The guide indicated we were running late many times, but we didn’t give us any time limitations and the first stops. He also made a few homophonic comments at the beginning of the tour while driving though Zona Rosa, which could have offended some people. Other than that seeing Casa Azul and experiencing Xochimilco were incredible!
Highly Recommend

Absolutely recommend this tour as a great way to see many parts of Mexico City that are a bit outside the city. The floating gardens were gorgeous and fun - music, food, drinks, selling items. Frida’s museum is amazing too plus it’s good to go with a guide especially on a weekend when it’s crowded. In addition, our guide, Allen/Fernando is absolutely a gem. He’s very well versed in the history and culture of Mexico City, Mexico, and in general. Plus, he’s hilarious and kept the entire tour upbeat. Our driver, Antonio is so kind and made sure everyone was safe. He was polite and drove carefully. Highly recommend!
Good way to get into Frida kahlo house, boat ride is not my cup of tea

Would have liked more time in Coyocan, we didn't have time to see inside the church. Boat ride in xolomichl was fine if that's your thing. Frida Kahlo house was great. Fernando the guide was friendly and helpful.
Great day!

Our guide Francisco and driver Miguel were amazing. Francisco was so knowledgeable and was able to quickly translate everything for the English speakers. We learned a lot on our tour. The trip was a little long being 8 hours, and we could have been satisfied with a slightly shorter tour, but all in all it was awesome! The highlight was eating tacos on the boat!
Great tour

We had a great trip. Our guide Alan/Fernando was fantastic and a very impressive guy -- speaking fluent Spanish, English, and German! - to the people in our group. He was very knowledgeable and an entertaining person. Thank you!
Great day trip

Francisco (guide) was fantastic, provided detailed information at each stop plus along the way. He and Gilberto (driver) managed to squeeze in a few unscheduled visits to other sites in the city.
Great tour

Marco was an amazing guide. He gave us interesting facts about the sites we saw and even got us to Casa Azul at exactly the ticketed time. Marco also made accommodations for the people who have trouble walking. It would have been nicer to have more time on the boats so see a little more of the canals, but it was great to eat on the boat and to be able to step onto one of the islands. Other than needing more time on the canals, the timing of the whole tour was good. Enough time to see everything we wanted to see.
Worth every penny!

Overall, I really enjoyed this tour. The bus turned up on time to pick me up and I was pleasantly surprised to find we were a small group of just six. Fernando was a great guide, knowledgeable and helpful. I wasn't really interested in seeing stadiums, but it didn't take long and then we were off to an archeological site which was much more interesting. Xochimilco was very quiet, thankfully. There were loads of floating Mariachi bands who were silent without customers - what a relief :-) Nevertheless, it was disappointingly comercialised. The visit to Coyoacan was the highlight for me. Beautiful area of CDMX with a good market where I had time to buy a load of things on my list. Then, of course, Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul. She's long been a hero of mine and it was a very emotional experience. The tour was well organised; Fernando was accommodating. There was a lot of driving around, but that's to be expected in the largest city in the Americas. Thanks for a great day, Fernando!
Good value day out.

Frida Kahlo's House was beautiful and we needed more time here and less time looking at stadiums. Xochimilco was fun but the lunch on the boat was a bit expensive and the price was not given so we did not know how much we would pay for it until afterwards. We felt a bit of a captive audience for the guy who came aboard to show us his silver jewelry which we did not want. The murals on the University buildings were well worth looking at.
Relaxing and laid back local experience
Rumeli_T, Dec 2023
We enjoyed this laid back day and enjoyed the local culture, food and museum. Our guide Rafael was very detailed in his explanations and took good care of everything. Timing and sequence of events was good allowing enough time for all the experiences .
Skip and do on your own

The Frida Kahlo House which you can go to without the tour. Very commercial floating gardens part and much time in the van without much Mexican history offered.
Awesome Tour! Worth it!

Francisco and Joel were excellent tour guides! The tour was great! My husband and I had a lot of fun, we would do it all over again!
Amazing Tour

Our guide, Enrique, was so amazing and informative. He was extremely knowledgeable about the city and the history. He was very kind and patient and always looking out for everyone’s needs. We saw so much just in this one tour. If you’re looking for a tour to see some of the most iconic places in Mexico City, look no further! Thank you!
Brilliant trip

The boat trip was great - interesting, fun and lots of entertainment. Lunch in the market was delicious. Frida Kahlo’s house was inspiring and poignant - one to remember. Our tour guide Elizabeth was excellent - knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and nice to spend the day with. Lovely bus drivers too. All in all, one of our favourite days.
Amazing tour, amazing tour guide
Tracy_M, Aug 2023
This was the best tour of the 4 tours we booked for Mexico City, and that’s due to our Tour Guide Francisca Esquivel and our driver Oscar. Francisco was so knowledgeable on the history and the sites he took us. We learned so much from him. Unfortunately the tickets were unavailable for the Frida Kahlo museum, however the tour company refunded us back the tickets in cash the morning of the tour. However, Francisco still took us to the house so we could see the outside and take pictures, and I feel that Francisco and Oscar made up the disappointment of the non-tickets by taking us to other sites that probably wasn’t originally part of the tour. Overall, it was an amazing day, my favourite part was the historic churches, and the cancel boats at Xochimilco. I highly recommend this tour. Also, they pick you up and drop you off directly at your hotel, no Ubers needed.
So much fun sailing through floating gardens of Xochimilco
Jersey_Y, Aug 2023
Our tour guide Rafael Michel introduced all the landmarks in Mexico City while we were heading to UNAM. He then introduced the history and development of UNAM. He was knowledgeable and informative. Then it was much fun to sail through the floating gardens of Xochimilco. Finally the visit to Museo Frida Kahlo was impressive to learn about the amazing life of Frida Kahlo.
Great experience

Marcos and Carlos were the best! Well informed, drove well, and took care of us all. I learned a lot on the tour and enjoyed myself.
Fantastic tour
Ben_V, Jul 2023
Fantastic guide, taking us to all the things promised and more. A long day, packed with lots of stuff, but never really felt rushed. A fantastic tour. Tip: bring water and a snack. There was time to also get these things, but it helps to also have those with us in the van.
Not what we expected.
SarahM0104, Jul 2023
We did not enjoy the morning portion. The visit to the city university, and silver shop, felt like a waste of time. I wish the tour was shorter and didn’t go there. Our guide and our driver were friendly and informative.
