Fantastic history lesson
Lynne_D, May 2024
The tour gave us a great perspective of Mexican and Mayan history. Carlos was an exceptionally knowledgeable host. There is a lot of walking outside in the sun so ensure you are well protected.
A Great Half-Day Tour
Kirk_S, Apr 2024
We had a great walking tour and hit several of the key landmarks, followed by a tour of the museum of anthropology. Our guide, Jorge, was very knowledgeable and his passion for history definitely showed. He took us to see some neat places including the Museo de Sitio and the oldest candy store in Mexico City that definitely made the trip. His knowledge of the exhibits at the Museum of Anthropology was extremely helpful. Our driver, Lalo, did a great job with pickups and drop off and the van was clean and well stock with water.
Book if you're a historian; if not, pass

The booking and communication was probably the worst I've ever witnessed during my international travels. I tentatively booked this experience two weeks prior and asked the contact if i could make one change with the itinerary. They said it could be possible but never confirmed details around the updated plan. After pinging multiple times, there was no clear answer. It got to the point where it was 24 hours prior to the travel and my credit card was paid. Yet, still no confirmation. I had to escalate and I finally got ahold of someone via text. It was then, they told me what I wanted was not possible. WOW. I already told them at the beginning, if it was not possible, I would not go through with this experience. Then, unlike my other 4 personal driver tours in the past, the driver never contacted me and I was left that morning wondering how I was going to know when the driver would arrive. Finally, someone came up to me at the lobby and introduced themselves. The guide was very nice and very knowledgeable. However, he was almost too academic and even though I told him I didn't need that much information, he didn't adjust our schedule. It was like he was stuck with his routine. It was very odd. To top it off, when it was time for lunch, he asked if he could join me. I didn't mind. However, he proceeded to order 2 drinks, a dish, and take multiple pieces of pastries. Did he assume I was going to pay for the whole meal? To be fair, I wasn't sure if the pastries were complimentary or for a fee. After I was finished with my meal, he asked if he could finish my plate and proceeded to take my plate and utensils. He used my utensils and proceed to finish my plate to the last morsel. Once again, the whole thing was very odd.
Great experience in Mexico city and museums of Anthropology

The tour was really good with important information about history, culture, religion and traditions! The guide (#mexicotourfreelance) was quite knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting insight into the rich mexican cultural heritage.
Great city tour in Mexico City.
Noreen_F, Feb 2024
We really enjoyed the Anthropology Museum and the Chapultepec Castle. And of course the Cathedral was stunning. Our tour guide Arthur was very knowledgeable and took time to show us highlights that brought out the interesting character of these sites. We had a variety of ages from grandparents to teens, and he kept it interesting and at a good pace for us all.

Sergio Tuero was our guide, he was outstanding. When he realized that I was familiar with this subject, I think that he enhanced our tour. He exchanged photos and links with me.
Mediocre experience
Sasank_C, Nov 2023
The guide and driver were on time and very friendly. Unfortunately, our guide did not speak English well which was disappointing.

What a fabulous tour! Our guide, Bruno, was friendly and professional. We were amazed at his knowledge of history and the sites we visited! We highly recommend Bruno to anyone visiting Mexico City!
Brilliant tour with an anthropologist
Patricia_B, Oct 2023
Sergio, our guide was a treasure. He was funny, entertaining, energetic and most importantly, so knowledgeable. While the places we visited were amazing, we would not have appreciated the significance of the sites without our own anthropologist. I highly recommend this guide. Even our driver was great!
Great day in Mexico City
Carrie_H, May 2023
We had the most amazing guide and driver. I was so impressed with her breath of knowledge. She carried a whiteboard and wrote down a lot of things which was incredibly helpful. I would 100% recommend this tour.
Wonderful tour guide Veronica
Emily_Z, Feb 2023
Veronica went above and beyond to meet our tour needs. Highly recommended! She showed up on time at our hotel on Saturday morning and took us to Zocalo. She explained the Mexican history, and serpents and human sacrifices at the Templo Mayor. She was knowledgeable about the artifacts at the Museo Nacional de Antropología. She also shared the performance schedule of the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. This information was important, as it enabled us to get tickets near the venue to see the performance at the last minute. She also took great photos. Thank you, Veronica, for contributing to the success of our trip!
A marvelous experience!

Roopa_R, Oct 2022
Trip to Mexico city Our guide, Julio was very nice and knew a lot about the city. The day started at 9 am with The Museum of Anthropologie. Upon our request, Julio took us to the castle of Chapultepec. We had lunch at a local restaurant and enjoyed some local food. We then went to the Zocalo and visited the National museum of arts, post office and the main cathedral. The last stop was the archeological ruins. The day ended around 4 pm. We walked close to 10 miles! Julio was excellent and made this very fun and informative for our entire family with kids and grandparents.
Fantastic

Outstanding learning experience in Anthropological Museum and Historic Center
Ralph_P, Jun 2022
Our guide Veronica gave us a crash course in Mexico City history and Anthropology. She laid out the facts about the historic downtown buildings dating back to the 16th century and important sights like the Palace of Bellas Artes. In the Anthropology Museum she was our Professor of Mexican history & culture. My wife and I were impressed by her knowledge and her friendliness. We have fond memories of the tour.
