Overview

Cruise along Xochimilco's floating canals and gardens in a traditional trajinera canal boat. Enjoy beer, tequila and mezcal onboard and learn to make fresh guacamole, which you can enjoy with tortilla chips. What a fun, traditional experience! We really enjoyed our 2-hour boat tour with our host Samantha - she shared interesting history tips about the chinampas and local people that made it more than just a boat ride. Making our guacamole was fun, and there is great fresh fruit for snacks, along with nonalcoholic drinks and tequila. Highly recommend this tour, whether with friends, or even just as a couple - my husband and I had a great time with the other guests. Bring tip money for mariachis too - so fun!

We considered just going to get a boat the day off and pay $600 mxn/hr but we are glad we didn’t. Having unlimited drinks and snacks with a personal tour guide who’s also Serving you drinks throughout the time you’re on boat was well worth the extra money! Santiago was our tour guide and he’s definitely a great guide!

Andy and Gabriel are the dynamic duo that you truly deserve for this experience! First of all Andy, born and raised in Xochimilco, is a true gem and shared some special nuggets with all the passengers about the area. You can truly tell the love she has for her community and its incredibly special to see! Gabriel is simply a warrior rower - guiding the boats is not for the faint of heart and he is truly skilled. This experience is truly one of a kind - they work with the ONLY woman who owns boats in Xochimilco. Let that sink in… Thank you so much for this experience - we had an absolute blast! Recommend having Mexican Pesos in cash form to tip both the host AND the rower.

This was such a fun experience. From the guacamole competition, eating chapulines, and making a stop and petting reptiles. Andrea was absolutely amazing and a great host. She made this a very memorable experience for my fiancé and I. She even got us a small bottle of champagne since we were celebrating our anniversary. She’s very thoughtful and sweet. Not to mention all the tequila and mezcal shots we took. This was a very fun experience.

We had the most amazing time on this trip! Andrea really knew how to curate the vibes and was prepared for the trip. She was extremely helpful (we were late due to an issue with our uber driver, and she was so helpful in directing us and keeping in communication to get us on the boat). The guacamole and tequila shots were definitely a highlight. The price paid is worth the experience. I would come back here again and recommend this to everyone! Already have sent it to a few of my friends.
