What To Expect

For this private New York City Christmas tour, meet your guide at your hotel lobby or another meeting spot you prefer in Manhattan. Please make sure to specify your preferred meeting location in the Special Requirements box at checkout.

Hop aboard your vehicle, which is stocked with Champagne and soft drinks for you to enjoy during the tour. Set out from Manhattan and head across the bridge to Brooklyn. Admire the illuminations at Dyker Heights and pass popular Christmas displays.

Finally, stop at the Brooklyn Bridge for a views of the Manhattan skyline, before being dropped back at your hotel.

Fantastic Evening with Adult Children

It’s hard for senior parents to impress our adult children, but we pulled it off with the private limo tour to see the light displays in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. The whole evening was fantastic and a highlight of our week in NYC. Victor, our driver, picked us a few minutes early from our Times Square hotel and was very pleasant, courteous, and accommodating all evening. We were furnished with two bottles of champagne, bottled water, cokes, and chocolates. Our 27 yo son had fun playing DJ over the sound system all evening and changing up the lights in the back. Our 31 yo daughter and son-in-law said it was “extra” (meaning extra special). It was so relaxing to ride around visiting with each other with no other agenda or deadline. Once we got to Dyker Heights, Victor had us get out at one place for a group photo. On another busy road, we had him drop us off and pick us up 4-5 blocks down the street so we could see some of the yard displays up close. Dyker Heights did not disappoint with the extravagant light displays. On the way back, Victor stopped at DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass), without us asking, where he knew there were restrooms and a great view of the Manhattan skyline. We ended the evening by having him drop us at a restaurant where we had made reservations. We all agreed that it would have been fun to just do this again but just drive around the city with no particular destination in mind. Dyker Heights was frosting on the cake!

Our driver was excellent but the program as a whole needs to be managed better. We were picked up in Times Square and it took an hour of our time to get to Dyker Heights. By the time we arrived we had only 20 minutes. We then had to head back and didn’t have time to even go see the Rockefeller Christmas tree. There were only bottles of wine in the limo and no soda beverages that were said to have been included. This was worth about $250, not over $700.

We were celebrating my granddaughter’s birthday and we had a wonderful trip through Manhattan’s Christmas lights, Dyker Hights and even went under to Dumbo for an insta moment Our guide Hans was absolutely amazing, he was educated and full of stories about whatever we asked him about We highly recommend this tour, our guide told us it has been in the same company for 48 years and recently the next generation took over. The tour was great, we learned a lot about the city and saw some amazing views all from the comfort of a very nice (and warm!) SUV. But the best part of the tour was our guide Gregory. He was absolutely a delight. He knew a lot of fun facts and was very fun, nice and accommodating, especially with my 10 year son who loved him. . Our experience was absolutely awful and I’ve submitted a request for a full refund. Our driver was sick and should NOT have been working. He took us to “spots where all the locals hang out” which were quite sketchy. Needless to say, we saw some Christmas lights in Brooklyn and then he dropped us off back at the hotel. We would have had a much better experience on the red bus holiday lights tour for less than $100.

Lights not to be missed

We had a great time but the tour wasn’t exactly as described in the Viator description. We did not stop at the Brooklyn Bridge and The driver didn’t want to take us to Rockefeller to see the tree but we insisted. The lights at Dyker Heights are amazing. We really enjoyed that. Also there were no soft drinks in the limo as mentioned on the website.

If I could give this tour more stars I would. Mario was absolutely the most charming young man and was so accommodating to our group (4 senior Ladies). He took us to get pizza since we had just arrived to NYC, and waited on us to get it to go! He stopped anywhere we wanted, ushered us in and out of the vehicle and was such a gentlemen. We REALLY enjoyed the royal treatment we received from Mario. The tour was so awesome. We saw things we would have never seen on our own!
