Pay the extra for the guided toyr
Shelley_G, Apr 2024
We took the guided tour of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was very fast paced and you had to deal with the crowds, but our tour guide Leeann’s was amazing. She got us through the crowds like an expert and we learned soooo much. You can certainly go to the islands on your own, but if you really want to learn about our nations history, pay extra for the guided tour. We did a lot in NYC during our visit, but our trip to the two islands with our tour guide was my favorite!
Horrible experience
Erin_P, Apr 2024
Unfortunately we had an awful experience. The tour was not professionally run. We were ushered to the front of a line where people had been waiting, and were clearly upset at the entrance of fifteen people in front of them. The man disappeared when we got there. The police were irate, no one was speaking up about what was going on. The ticket was twice as expensive than buying it there. I would strongly encourage you to skip this one. Not well done at all. Terribly uncomfortable experience.
Nice tour

Nina was a great tour guide! My 7 y.o. and I enjoyed it and learned a lot about Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
My Daughter was visiting...
Aaron_W, Apr 2024
My Daughter was visiting NY for the first time so this was a must see, we continued on to the 9/11 Memorial museum and times square, then road the train from grand central station home. Nina was an amazing tour guide to have for the first part of our day. We both learned a lot and appreciated her knowledge.
Nightmare, problematic, and stressful
Alex_F, Apr 2024
Too many people too many vendors selling the same tour makes for a mass confusion and chaos at the ferry terminal. Also the cruise and tour is problematic in it of its self because you pay as a tourist like myself to go see both the liberty island and Ellis island, however nothing is disclosed to you regarding the last ferry to take you to Ellis island was at 3:30pm yesterday and so I missed it and thereby paid for a service or experience that was not provided. I'd like to get my money back if at all possible. It was a nightmare having to go find who or what tour guide by a specific Starbucks to meet up with and escort you through the entrance - just an all around problematic, stressful, and bad experience in general. I will never buy a ticket with you guys to the statue ever again.
BEWARE: FAKE TOUR, A SCAM!
Lisandro_M, Mar 2024
Terrible. This was a scam. “Tour guide” gathered everyone across the street from battery park & walked us to the main line to get on a ferry and then left us. That was it. No guided tour & no additional experiences. Worst of all these tickets were $99 each and regular ticket prices were $50.
Amazing guide

Great tour guide. She was knowledgeable and engaging. It was raining and we didn’t have to stand in line in the rain.
Enjoyable day!
Jessica_M, Feb 2024
Our guide was very knowledgeable. She even walked us to the 9/11 memorial pools. Very friendly and a pleasure.
Well worth the money.

Lady Liberty close and personal
Martha_C, Jan 2024
Seeing the Statue of Liberty close up was an amazing experience. The Statue of Liberty Museum had wonderfully engaging exhibits. The ferry ride over was also quick and smooth. It was an overall great experience. However, I gave it four stars because our tour guide was a bit rude and we left later than expected.
Un fraud.
Norma_P, Dec 2023
It was all a fraud, no one came to pick me up, I arrived before the time they say there, I waited and they didn't arrive for me, the hour passed waiting and they left me planted. I don't recommend it, I tried to call them but they didn't answer me, I sent messages and they didn't answer me either. It was all a robbery.
Its very political
Shirlene_H, Dec 2023
Looking at the face of the Statue of Liberty they say it’s the face of a woman but it looks like the face of s man. The Statue as a whole is very masculine.
Viator is the best way to plan your NY VACATION!!

The knowledgeable and experienced and friendly lady that went with us as our guide ( I think she is named Jolene or something along those lines) was absolutely amazing and entertaining and she was just brimming with joy and showed us such a great time.
