What To Expect

Make your own way to the ‘Aux Lyonnais’ restaurant, at the heart of the Grands Boulevards area, in time for your lunch or dinner booking. Take a seat amid the stylish surroundings of a traditional Lyonnais bistro or ‘bouchon’, with its wood-paneled walls, retro furnishings, and deliberately mismatched silverware.

Then, prepare for a culinary journey to Lyon, as you tuck into a delicious 3-course lunch or 4-course dinner (depending on option selected), including a welcome glass of Champagne or sparkling wine, an ‘amuse-bouche’, a selection of fine wines, and coffee. Choose from a variety of traditional and contemporary Lyonnais cuisine, created by chef Xavier Boireau and including possibilities such as the famous ‘quenelle, Nantua’, traditional ‘veal blanquette’ or Lyonnaise-style black pudding, followed by desserts such as a ‘Floating Island with pink praline’. I came expecting a great dinner and...

I came expecting a great dinner and something more. Maybe someone who would introduce each course since this restaurant is owned by a Michelin star chef. I remember the entreeescargot and pork belly and the dessert souffle. Both were delicious! The main was a fish dish...unremarkable. I was disappointed.
