  • Entry to the gardens is free of charge from November to March, and no ticket is required during this period. However, from April to October, a ticket is necessary to visit the gardens. Your City Wonders representative will provide you with your ticket on the day of the tour.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 25 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Not as expected. Waste of money

Didn’t go as planned. Bus Arrived late at the palace but left at schedule departure time. We loss over an hour of our time. Group Lines were longer than the regular lines, we took forever to get in. The palace tour and guide Giovanna was amazing. She is Very passionate about what she does, very rare these days. I recommend buying your own ticket and taking the train there. Is only like 20 minutes from the city and a whole lot cheaper.
Guide of the Versailles tour was not helpful when i got sick at the Hall of Mirrors.

A Must See, But Better Overall Experience Needed

Visting Versailles is definitely a must see as the palace is magnificent. However, we had a few mishaps during our trip. First, the bus was late and we were only notified once we arrived so had to figure out what to do as we waited for the bus. Then our time was NOT extended so our time was shorter than we were told at the Castle because the bus was late. Also, the guide was just okay, nothing engaging or inviting about the guide so it was an average experience.

We missed the tour as the meeting place was incorrect on the voucher. Had the date on the voucher been correct we would have gone to the correct meeting place hence we wasted $180 on a tour we didn’t take. Although it was aviator’s misprint on the voucher I am sure we will not be refunded our money. After taking other tours with Viator in Paris and witnessing other people being in the wrong meeting spots for tours it seems to be a common theme with Viator.non-existent

Gregory was an incredible tour guide. He has been doing this for 22 years and you can tell. I learned so much about the history of Versailles and the grounds were stunning. The coach transfer was comfortable and easy to find.

Bus was over half hour late due to traffic but they would not extend it. Then our guide suggested bathrooms which the line was so long we had to wait 20 minutes for one person! Again shortened our day. The guide was confusing and all over the place. For me I’m glad it was not my first time for my guest it was not a pleasant trip.

DO NOT BOOK WITH VIATOR!!! Viator gave us the wrong meeting point location, the bus did not wait for us and we had to taxi to Versailles to meet the guide and get our tickets. Viator refuses to issue a partial refund for the transportation we were not able to use because of them. The guides throughout our trip said they always have issues with Viator bookings. AVOID booking with them.

Our tour guide, Omar, made our visit to the Palace of Versailles a fun experience. We learned a lot about the history and fun facts of the palace from him. The tour gave us enough time to tour the garden by ourselves.

Our Tour guide's name was Flor and inside the palace she was trying to cover everything but should have left us in the last room for lot longer because there was not enough time to view all the paintings and statues on display. We were rushed out by her so that she could point us towards the gardens and leave for the day! Plus she was also late in the morning and all of us were waiting for her and losing time. That disappointed me but otherwise she was OK. The guides in the bus were good and communicative. Bus condition, Audio machines and headphones quality was good.

the information sent to us at the time of booking was incorrect - we went to meeting point as advised & found out that the meeting point was changed. We were not informed on time & hence missed the tour

Changed pick up location, unclear messaging

Never made the trip. Reserved this tour a solid 2 months before our vacation to be sure the tours wouldn't be sold out. Pick-up information is posted in the booking. Already in Paris, receive a message from tour operator that the pick-up location was changed. Advised to arrive at least 15 minute early and information given about the pick-up location. Stated guide would be present near a bus stop outside the Hyatt Hotel. Arrived as requested, no guide or bus visible. Tried calling contact number for tour operator, they tried to contact the guide and no answer. We then quickly took a cab to the original pick-up spot - nope, no one there. Tour company tried to contact guide, reportedly there at the Hyatt, no answer. Requested a refund on the spot. No refund to date.
