Each year between June and September, hundreds of whale sharks visit the warm waters off the coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. With this tour, you'll see and swim with these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. In addition to whale sharks, you’ll also have a chance to see dolphins, sea turtles, or manta rays. Your tour includes lunch and hotel pickup and drop-off in Playa del Carmen.

Girl trip to swim with whale sharks

Not gonna lie. Swimming with whale sharks was on my bucket list and this tour company made that happen. I'm older and they took great pains to find stationary whale sharks so I didn't have to swim like crazy. The tour company was impeccable about staying in communication with us. The guide was just ok. I am more grateful to the assistants who helped us in the water. This excursion was very pricey and the lunch included in that price was ridiculously lacking - embarrassingly so. Though I feel like my trip was a success and I like this tour company maybe look elsewhere for a more reasonable price.

Wat een geweldige ervaring! Alles is ontzettend goed verlopen, we werden op tijd opgehaald van ons hotel, duidelijke uitleg gekregen over wat we wel en niet mogen doen bij de walvishaaien. Het is gelukt om de walvishaaien te vinden en we hadden genoeg tijd om ze goed te zien en mee te zwemmen, we hadden geluk dat er meerdere walvishaaien daar waren. Onze gids deet het fantastisch! Mooie camera beelden gemaakt door onze gids , maar jammer genoeg hadden we geen geld bij ons , alleen creditcard . Betalingen met creditcard worden niet geaccepteerd, misschien de enige minpuntje van de hele dag. Zwemmen met een zwemvest was even wennen, daardoor ben je minder snel en flexibel. Verder ontzettend blij en tevreden. Wij zijn blij dat wij dit gedaan hebben, een ervaring om nooit te vergeten! Bedankt voor deze bijzondere ervaring.
