Worth every penny. Standing in the market our group (7 total) decided our menu there on the spot. Then we went to different markets to collect our ingredients. Then to the beautiful kitchen to make our lunch. Good mix of hands on and instruction. Fillipo was patient and encouraging. His 2 assistants were great also. Fried stuffed zucchini flowers, homemade fresh pasta with bacon crumbles, leg of lamb with Roman artichokes and finally Panna cotta with persimmon sauce. Wine and nonalcoholic beverages also provided. Don’t miss this great opportunity while in Rome.

The market tour and tastings included outstanding local produce, cheeses, and meats. Max was flexible about adding in Agretti or Monk's Beard to our menu. It is a wildly delicious and nutritious veggie that was new to us for a side dish. When we took the ingredients to his cooking school, it was also helpful to have him demonstrate how to prepare freshly harvested spring artichokes to add to our homemade ricotta ravioli. Max’s pasta making tips were excellent and our pasta was tender but held its structure. Tiramisu is a staple dessert in many Italian restaurants but I believe Max’s version is far superior. Every dish was very delicious! All in all, Max was a fun, knowledgeable, patient, and enthusiastic instructor. I know I’d enjoy taking more classes with him in the future.

Our instructor was fantastic! He met us at the market and asked what type of food we were interested in cooking, which was unexpected. We expected the class to make the same menu with every single group, so it was nice to be able to give our input. All of the food we made was incredible and the company was wonderful, as well. I would absolutely recommend this class!

Roberto is the best!!! My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary today with a cooking class and it really could not have been better! We met Roberto at the local market where we bought all the fresh ingredients we needed for our meal. Then we went to the cooking school and prepared the sauces, ravioli, chicken and tiramisu! What an amazing meal!!! And we got the recipes, we will definitely make that tiramisu at home. If you can fit this experience into your itinerary DO IT!!!

My husband and I booked with the expection of a group class and we were lucky enough to have a private chef to ourselves. The whole experience from picking our own ingredients at the local market to creating our own delicious food was such an amazing time and we loved every minute of it. 10/10, 100% recommend

Great experience. We met at the market and learned the best places to shop as we picked up the ingredients for our meals. Lots of great tips and tricks as we cooked prepared our meals. Not a full 5 star review because there was a bit of cooking we didn't do that I would've done in other cooking classes. This was a mix of cooking and learning and experiencing/being served great local food.

I would highly recommend doing this course. Davide was a lovely person, very professional, who gave us so much information, brought us around the food market which was lively with fabulous organic produce. We were made feel very welcome and relaxed back at the school which was in a beautiful palazzo and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Cooked a meal of our choice and enjoyed it with some prosecco and wine. Can't wait to try it all at home now. Suitable for any age or standard of cooking knowledge. Would do it again next time in Rome. Go with an appetite!
