Brian was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The food was amazing and we went to several different local establishments. Everyone was very welcoming. I would recommend this tour very highly.

We had a great time! A couple times I worried I wouldn't be able to eat more, but the pacing of the tour had me ready for the next tasting by the time we were seated I was ready for more and everything was delicious! I felt like we got a flavor of the whole city from the tour as well as the tastes from little Italy. Thanks for making it a fun time for us and our friends.

Scott was a long time local, knowledgeable and interesting. Very good tour told from a local perspective.. Scott knew and greeted a few of his local friends walking around the neighborhood. Small group - five guests. Just what I was looking for. This is not a challenging walk - very few hills / not too steep by SF standards.

They canceled the trip a couple of hours before. According to them, they tried to make contact with me. But why canceling the same day???

When you were not at the tour meeting location, the guide tried to find you and tried to contact you on your cell phone, WhatsApp and through Viator at the beginning of the tour, even though there were other guests on the tour. Unfortunately, we were not able to reach you. We had Viator issue you a refund as our apologies for the inconvenience. As neither Viator or us communicated to you that the tour was cancelled, please contact me at tmedin@localtastesofthecitytours.com, call me at (415) 665-0480 or contact me through Viator, so I can find out how you received the incorrect impression about the cancellation and so I make sure that we can contact guests, if a similar situation occurs in the future.

Brain was not only super knowledgeable but very personable and fun! We loved that Brain gave us way more then just the food tour, his historical knowledge made the experience that much more memorable. Top foods were arancini, olives, the fudge and the pizzas! It was our first full day in San Francisco and will be hard to beat!

Isabelle was an amazing guide, I learned so much about the North Beach neighborhood and culture. Everyone on the tour was just blown away by how much food we received on the tour, luckily I came hungry!! Look forward to visiting one of the restaurants this evening for dinner tonight!

I have taken food tours in many other countries, but this was, by far, the best yet! Isabella was accommodating, encouraging and otherwise delightful. We had plenty of samples and tastes, as well as a few surprises. We saw more places than I expected, learned more about the City, and left totally satisfied.

The tour included a lot of good food; including best fudge in the US and salami blessed by the Pope. Brian, our tour guide, provided the history of North Beach with facts and a sense of humor. Highly recommend the tour but it’s best if you start the tour ready for a big meal spread out over 2 plus hours.

Great tour of Little Italy and fantastic food! Our tour guide, Isabella, shared some history of the area as well as fun facts. The food was great. It also gave me a base for touring on my own and appreciating what I saw across the area later in the day.

We hit a lot more stops than described in the tour description. Many of which we returned to in the following days as we were staying in the area. Tastings were great and the guide, Scott, was knowledgeable about the area and its history- mostly 20th century. Lots of references to the Godfather. Although a 3 hour tour, we didn't walk too much as we mostly stayed within a 6 block area. Pace of the tour was good, not rushed. Cons: Guide started the tour by speaking at length on how we should tip him 20% at the end of the tour, similar to a restaurant. Showed us a shop to buy hallucinogens and how to register as a member of the church so we could legally buy. I thought this was inappropriate info given the kids in the group.

While the comments about hallucinogens were meant to be humorous, they were inappropriate and unacceptable.
