Little Italy fun and food
cindybunyard, May 2024
Scott was an excellent tour guide. The food was fantastic and the history was so much fun to hear. We’d definitely do it again.
Excellent food tour

Brian was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The food was amazing and we went to several different local establishments. Everyone was very welcoming. I would recommend this tour very highly.
Great food tour

Scott was a treasure trove of information which brought the streets to life. Food was excellent! Recommend to all.
Great food, interesting, and well-paced.
Jake_M, Apr 2024
We had a great time! A couple times I worried I wouldn't be able to eat more, but the pacing of the tour had me ready for the next tasting by the time we were seated I was ready for more and everything was delicious! I felt like we got a flavor of the whole city from the tour as well as the tastes from little Italy. Thanks for making it a fun time for us and our friends.
Local experience
Marci_S, Apr 2024
Scott was a long time local, knowledgeable and interesting. Very good tour told from a local perspective.. Scott knew and greeted a few of his local friends walking around the neighborhood. Small group - five guests. Just what I was looking for. This is not a challenging walk - very few hills / not too steep by SF standards.
Lack of responsibility
victor_v, Mar 2024
They canceled the trip a couple of hours before. According to them, they tried to make contact with me. But why canceling the same day???
Response from Host, Apr 2024
I apologize for your experience. When you were not at the tour meeting location, the guide tried to find you and tried to contact you on your cell phone, WhatsApp and through Viator at the beginning of the tour, even though there were other guests on the tour. Unfortunately, we were not able to reach you. We had Viator issue you a refund as our apologies for the inconvenience. As neither Viator or us communicated to you that the tour was cancelled, please contact me at, call me at (415) 665-0480 or contact me through Viator, so I can find out how you received the incorrect impression about the cancellation and so I make sure that we can contact guests, if a similar situation occurs in the future.

Fun food, history, and walking
Colette_T, Mar 2024
Fun way to learn more about San Francisco, the little tidbits of history were interesting. The food was enough to be a large lunch.
Not just a food tour!
Travis_b, Mar 2024
Brain was not only super knowledgeable but very personable and fun! We loved that Brain gave us way more then just the food tour, his historical knowledge made the experience that much more memorable. Top foods were arancini, olives, the fudge and the pizzas! It was our first full day in San Francisco and will be hard to beat!
Isabelle was an amazing...
Veronica_B, Feb 2024
Isabelle was an amazing guide, I learned so much about the North Beach neighborhood and culture. Everyone on the tour was just blown away by how much food we received on the tour, luckily I came hungry!! Look forward to visiting one of the restaurants this evening for dinner tonight!
Best Food Tour Ever
Elaine_B, Jan 2024
I have taken food tours in many other countries, but this was, by far, the best yet! Isabella was accommodating, encouraging and otherwise delightful. We had plenty of samples and tastes, as well as a few surprises. We saw more places than I expected, learned more about the City, and left totally satisfied.
North Beach Food and History
Frank_W, Jan 2024
The tour included a lot of good food; including best fudge in the US and salami blessed by the Pope. Brian, our tour guide, provided the history of North Beach with facts and a sense of humor. Highly recommend the tour but it’s best if you start the tour ready for a big meal spread out over 2 plus hours.
Great food and good times
Melissa_B, Jan 2024
Loved nearly all the food and had a great time. Brian was funny and knew tasty places to eat and knew some local history. Was a good time. I recommend!
Great tour!!
Sandra_M, Jan 2024
Great tour of Little Italy and fantastic food! Our tour guide, Isabella, shared some history of the area as well as fun facts. The food was great. It also gave me a base for touring on my own and appreciating what I saw across the area later in the day.
Recommend you try
Elaine_G, Dec 2023
We hit a lot more stops than described in the tour description. Many of which we returned to in the following days as we were staying in the area. Tastings were great and the guide, Scott, was knowledgeable about the area and its history- mostly 20th century. Lots of references to the Godfather. Although a 3 hour tour, we didn't walk too much as we mostly stayed within a 6 block area. Pace of the tour was good, not rushed. Cons: Guide started the tour by speaking at length on how we should tip him 20% at the end of the tour, similar to a restaurant. Showed us a shop to buy hallucinogens and how to register as a member of the church so we could legally buy. I thought this was inappropriate info given the kids in the group.
Response from Host, Dec 2023
Thank you for joining us. While I’m glad that you enjoyed the tour, I apologize about Scott’s comments about tipping and hallucinogens. While the comments about hallucinogens were meant to be humorous, they were inappropriate and unacceptable. We have taken concrete actions to see that the comments about tipping and hallucinogens do not occur in the future.
Great tour

Food, History and Locals
Heidi_K, Nov 2023
I signed up with my friend visiting from DC, we had a lovely time learning a bit about North Beach history, meeting local business owners and of course eating delicious food. Even as a SF local I enjoyed it and learned something!
