    Departure Point: Pier 39, Gate J, San Francisco 94133 Directions: Stand on the sidewalk facing the water. Enter main P39 entrance, then out left between shops to the water (towards GG Bridge). Gate J is located right next to the sea lion viewing area (ask someone where are sea lions are if lost).

What To Expect

Don’t just take photos of San Francisco Bay from the waterfront—get out on the water itself pm this SF sailing tour. Your experience starts on the Embarcadero, where you hop aboard the 55- or 65-foot (17- or 20-meter) Adventure Cat and set out across the bay.

Take a picture or two of the city skyline and resident sea lions as they become smaller and smaller, and listen to commentary from your captain about the city and other sights that line the water.  If you want to stay warm and dry, you can enjoy 360-degree views from the catamaran’s protected interior; if you’re feeling a bit more daring, take a seat on the trampoline nets, where you can soak in the salty ocean air.

Cruise past Alcatraz Island, look up at the towering Golden Gate Bridge and admire the charming small town of Sausalito, just across the bridge. If you like, you can purchase snacks, beer, wine or soft drinks from the onboard bar.

Your tour ends when you return to the marina in San Francisco.

One of the favorite things we did in San Francisco! Captain and crew were awesome, super friendly and genuine. Sailing the bay was a nice break from walking all over and the views from the water were beautiful.

Great cruise on the San Francisco Bay

Had an amazing afternoon on the Adventure Cat! Captain Katrina and mates, Freddy and Haley made this adventure so much fun! An interactive experience. Guests helped hoist the sail. I got to sit in the Captain’s chair! Knowledgeable crew. I highly recommend this tour. Just do it! You won’t regret it!
Amazing cruise on a beautiful catamaran

I highly recommend this cruise. It was a small group of people which made the experience much more special than being on one of the big ships. The crew was exceptionally friendly and even offered to take photos in various places of the catamaran. The weather was beautiful and we even saw two porpoises. Next time I‘m back in SF I‘ll book the same cruise again.

I took my 2 young kids with me. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. I would do it again. I think once is enough for my 2 kids. They spent most of the time running around the boat. They enjoyed themselves. If I could go again, I'd go by myself or with my husband.

Very pleasant and enjoyable trip in a gorgeous ship withth an efficient and Nice crew! We went to the Golden Gate Bridge and it was a wonderful experience to have a different view in it!

Couldn't recommend this cruise highly enough - the crew were so friendly, the journey was just beautiful (although we were blessed with perfect weather) and being on the catamaran was so much fun! We even got to help hoist the main sail! We also got to see porpoises in the bay which the captain pointed out, which was very special. Don't think twice about booking this experience!

Absolutely fantastic boat trip, amazing crew! Must do in San Francisco. Crew polite, professional, knowledgeable and have great humour! If you’re thinking about a boat trip pick this one. Our first time in the USA and I’m on the brink of tears by how amazing the whole experience has been, this trip being our first booked activity. Just wow. Thanks again to the crew, had the most amazing time, from two Scottish people! 😁

The crew was great! It just made the trip that much more fun! Just wish they didn’t have alcoholic drinks in a can. We ended up having a cocktail before getting on the sail boat.

The dock location, crew, boat and bay sail was excellent! Highly recommend! Inside the catamaran provides a good view but out on the deck is even better. Crew generously provides warm wind breakers to use if you find the sea air to cool.

This was the best part of San Francisco for my family with two kids 6 and 3. They loved looking down into the water and viewing the bridge from under it, and after they got a little chilly we went inside and had hot cocoa. The crew was fantastic! So friendly and great with kids. You'll need rain jackets so either bring your own or borrow theirs.

This cruise exceeded all expectations! The boat was fantastic, the crew friendly and accommodating and they even had jackets onboard to borrow if you got cold. I would have done this twice if I knew it was so good!
