Magnificent Experience ~ Even Better Dinner!
Krista_G, Dec 2023
We traveled to Tuscany with a group of 10 and the were able to accommodate us with no issues ~ class participation if wanted, great conversation throughout class, dinner was magnificent. The menu was much different from other classes we have taken which was greatly welcomed! Highly recommended!!
Must book

Everyone was great. Lella provided instruction in Italian that was translated. Our class made dough that we then made pici pasta from, panna cotta for dessert, a chicken and potato dish, and a soup. They gave us written instructions to take home. Everything was made with simple ingredients and felt manageable to try again at home. It was fun, casual, and authentic. I learned a lot and the class size was nice with about 7 students. There was a child in our class too who was engaged and did well so I think it would be appropriate for most kids or kids that aren't too little. We cooked for maybe 2-2.5 hours and then ate our dinner in the different courses that we made for about an hour which ended the entire experience in 3.5 hours. Wine was served with dinner. The food was so incredible, the instructors were amazing and the experience was a blast!

This is a cooking class you can't miss! The chef is amazing, and she explains everything very clearly and easily to follow. You get all the recipes to take home to try for yourself.

Fun, but a little disappointing
Neil_R, Oct 2023
Handmaking pici pasta was lots of fun - and it was great to see how an expert does it up close. However, the antipasto dish and the sauce for the pasta course were very similar so it felt a bit repetitive and the meat course - while delicious - felt a bit generic. In addition we hadn’t realised that the class would be given in Italian with translation and - with no negative criticism of the translation provided - a degree of personality is lost between a chef “talking while doing” and the provision of the translation.

Thank you for spending time with me. lella
Fun experience even if not fully hands on
Renee_S, Oct 2023
Fun experience with a great instructor, translator and great tasting food. Like some other reviewer comments, the class is not fully hands on. Only one out of the four courses (pasta making) was fully hands on, while the other courses were either demonstrated by the instructor or only one or two participants could help with the other courses. I still came away with some helpful hints and techniques for the other courses that weren't fully hands on. Location was very central if staying in Siena or coming to Siena for the day.
Highly recommend cooking class in Siena!

We had an incredible experience learning to cook Tuscan recipes with Lella and her warm and engaging interpreter, Julie. The class was extremely organized, and we managed to complete 4 course and still have time to enjoy our creations with the other students. There was just enough hands-on experiences - otherwise, we were watching and learning as Lella demonstrated a technique. I can’t believe we all made enough picci noodles to feed all 10 of us! This cooking class was one of our favorite experiences in Italy, and we highly recommend it!

What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon! Chef Lella and Julie led us through the cooking of a 4 course delicious Tuscan meal. It was very hands on and the result was one of the best meals we’ve had so far. My husband and I made friends with the other people there from all over. You leave with recipes, a full tummy, and memories to last. Chef Lela’s cooking school is easy to find and absolutely worth the 4 hours of your day.
Don’t miss cooking class

Fabulous experience and food
Christine_D, Oct 2023
Chef Lella was excellent! This class is hands on making pici, pork loin soup and desert and you get recipes for all. Well worth the time and money!
Delicious Dinner
Greg_W, Oct 2023
the class was a lot of fun and the dinner delicious! If I had any criticism it would be that there was not enough actual hands on cooking. I understand that 16 people is a lot and there is really only one cooking station but it would have been nice to have a little more involvement. Lella was wonderful and her translator very good!
Great meal after watching it made and actually making the spaghetti
Susan_A, Oct 2023
Actually making the pasta, kneading the dough and shaping the spaghetti. I thought the class would have been more hands on than it was.
Great evening in Siena
