We took this tour and cooking class with 'Tours of Tuscany' and our entire group agreed it was a top moment of our entire Italy trip! The property where you take the class is one of a kind; a historic building and winery in the heart of the Brunello di Montalcino region. We had a nice tour of the property and the wine cellar which was a great introduction to the region. The cooking class itself was a perfect experience. The chef, Alexandra was so friendly, personable, and made every moment fun! The food was exquisite, as we made a tuscan ragu, tagliatelle, spinach ravioli, and tiramasu. All the recipes are authentic as the owners are from the area. We not only made some delicious food but picked up some cooking tips we will take back home with us. The grand finale of the tour was a luxurious lunch on the breathtaking terrace where we got to share our creations and enjoy a whole lot of the delicious Brunello di Montalcino wine. They even offered to pick us up in a nice van and transport us from our hotel in Florence for a reasonable rate. Our driver Nicolai was friendly, professional, and made the trip even more fun! I would recommend this tour as a top priority to anyone visiting northern Italy!

What a lovely day! The cooking class and vineyard tour were a wonderful break from touring sites. The setting was beautiful, and Alexandra ran an entertaining and informative class, not to mention tasty! She did a great job at working with everyone in the group and explaining everything clearly. It was lighthearted and fun. Niccolò transported us from Siena, which we so appreciated. He found something in the van that one of my friends left and thoughtfully let us know. The whole day was a really relaxing experience. Having lunch after the class felt a little decadent. The food, the setting, the wine. My only advice would be to pour the Brunello a little more generously. That said, there was ample wine throughout.

Our cooking class was the highlight of our 10 day trip in Tuscany! We started with a tour of the winery/cellar with a very informative guide. Then, we started our cooking class with the most GORGEOUS view! Our chef, "Jack" was very hands on and added an additional pasta so we could learn the most possible! We made 2 different pastas, a meat dish and dessert. He provided wine with the cooking as well as the meal. We had the best time and ate VERY well. I would recommend this place to anyone! It was so enjoyable, we even went over an hour and a half in time. It was well worth the money and was an incredible experience. Thank you!!

Alexandra was so entertaining and very knowledgeable about the wine and food. We were a party of 6 and she kept us all engaged. The food was delicious and we all learned how to make pasta and tiramisu. We would highly recommend this tour!

The tour guide was fantastic! The cherry on top is definitely the cooking experience! Our Chef J was very helpful and allowed us to be totally hands on with many bottles of champagne while cooking. The views while cooking are out of a fairy tail. Great experience would definitely do it again and recommend it to all!!

Alexandra was so personable and fun. There were 3 couples who didn’t know each other n the group, and Alexandra had us all working together so we were friends quickly. My 14 year old daughter and I had a lovely time learning to make traditional Tuscan dishes - more than just pasta. The time flew by.

Look no further, Alexandra is the queen of Tuscany. She brings fun, peppy energy along with extensive cooking knowledge and wine experience. In this class you will feel super relaxed- open up with procesco, preparing of the meal, a tour of the winery and come back to make the fresh pasta and then sit outside to enjoy the view while everything cooks. The 3 course meal is paired with winery grown on the land. This was such a fun activity and it was all because Alex make it fun and engaging! I would 100% recommend this experience!!!

Before you read any further, just take my word and book this class. This class was the highlight of our whole trip and we had so much fun! An absolute beautiful setting to learn foundational and traditional Italian cooking. The class is conducted in a beautiful small cottage overlooking the vineyard and is set on a beautiful 14th century castle grounds. In addition to the cooking class, we got to do a short tour of the grounds and wine cellar and learn a bit more about the castle itself, the history, and the vineyard. The cooking class was easy to follow and extremely well instructed. Our instructor, Alexandra, was extremely talented and so much fun to hang out with for the day. She was an absolute ray of sunshine! It also is important to note that the food we cooked was also exception! All in all I would recommend this to everyone and anyone! You won't regret it.
