Great Experience!

Had a great experience. One of the wine makers gave us a tour and explained a great deal about the wine, the ancient castle, the different fields, and how wine is made. He did a great job. Sorry, cannot remember his name right now. The tasting was great, and the wine, especially the Brunello, out of this world. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. Just the drive from Siena to the winery was worth the experience.

I found the excursion at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us into a very nice group of 8. The entire setting was great. The tour of the grounds was very informative and our host was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The wines were exquisite. Buy a few bottles there, they are great wines.

The location for this winery was not correct. Castella Trechere was the meeting point which should have been Castella Altieri. Putting Trechere into the GPS caused us to go to a wrong location and look us many miles out of our way. Also, because of the location we lost GPS coverage multiple times. We called the winery to say we would be very late and the winery did accommodate us. Also, the write up indicated "food tasting" was included. Crackers should not be considered "food tasting".

We loved our wine tasting experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and the place was just gorgeous. The wines were lovely. They were very accommodating since we traveled with children. Also very competitive price in comparison to other similar experiences.

Um rapaz educado deu boas explicações sobre o lugar e a produção de vinhos. Ok! Depois fomos p uma mesa q tinha água e uma pequena cestinha de biscoitos onde degustamos 3 vinhos. E é isso! Se for pelo lugar, é razoável. Se for pelo vinho, melhor degustar em Montalcino.

Korte rondleiding, niet in de wijnvelden geweest. Proeverij werd weinig toegelicht over smaak, kleur etc. Werden snel 3 wijnen ingeschonken en dat was het.

Dear Lieke_M, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the wine tasting as our previous guests did. First of all, the experience lasts 1 hour, as stated in the description. Therefore, it is pretty clear that it is not going to last ages. In the second place, we never mention any vineyards visit. For security & safety reasons it is not possible to walk in the vineyards. Finally, there is stated in the description: you are going to taste 3 types of wines. The winery itself produces only those 3 types of wines. It would be better, in order to not disattend your expectations, to read the descriptions of experiences carefully.
