What To Expect

Escape the crowds of Venice for a full day of sightseeing in the enchanting hill towns of Veneto. Meet your driver- tour escort in central Venice in the morning, and hop aboard a comfortable minivan for the approximately 1-hour drive north.

We'll visit the picturesque town of Bassano del Grappa, where you will enjoy leisure time to shop for local artisan goods. Perhaps even pick up a bottle of the potent grappa liqueur for which the town is known .Continue on to Asolo, where you can wander around lovely gardens and historic villas in this town known as the ‘pearl of Veneto.

In Maser, explore the historic grandeur of Villa Barbaro — a wonderfully preserved estate designed by renowned Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. Stroll through well-manicured gardens and admire frescoes by Veronese that adorn the grand hallways and public rooms of the villa.

When it’s time for lunch, savor delicious Veneto cuisine at a local restaurant (own expense). Opt to include regional wine pairings with your meal if you like. Finally, drive through rolling vineyards on the way to a prosecco winery, where you’ll raise a glass of the beloved sparkling wine and toast your day in the country.

Stunning Scenery

We had an amazing day with our guide on this tour. We were a group of five for our tour so we were very comfortable in our luxury comfortable mini van. Our guide was very passionate and very knowledgeable. We visited the beautiful town of Bassano del Grappa and Asolo. We toured a grappa museum and sampled a variety of flavored grappa. We also visited the Villa Barbaro which was very interesting. We ended our day with wine tasting at a local Prosecco winery. This was a fun and interesting tour of the hillside towns of the Veneto region.

This was a balanced small group tour well conducted by Marco the Guide . The drive through the countryside was uplifting and the towns visited were made enjoyable by Marco's guiding skills and he allowed ample time for photo stops and free time...Apart from the bridge over the Brenta being under repair this was a tour to remember.being capped of by the wine tasting at a vineyard in the hills at the last stop. We would stress that it is a long day but well worth the time

What an exquisite day! With an early start from Venice Tronchetto, a small group of us 6 made our way to the gentle hills of the Veneto. Marco our driver/guide was much obliging, friendly and informative. The pace was laid back and allowed lots of time to simply stroll though the charming villages of Marostica, discover Bassano de Grappa with its incredible Poli Grappa Museum and its Grappa tasting and Asolo for an al fresco lunch in the Piazza optional. From there, Marco drove us to the Palladian Villa Barbaro which was quite interesting to visit. Then off to the Prosecco hills where a thunderstorm caught us and gave us spectacular play of lights over the Prosecco vineyards. We stopped at CaSalina and had quite a comprehensive degustation of all levels of Prosecco. What a better way to end this day. Returned to Venice around 7pm with lots of great memories! Thoroughly enjoyed this well organized excursion

Bassano del Grappa was really beautiful. With only 5 people the guide was able to give us a lot of personal attention. Asolo and other towns were nice. The Palladio villa was a nice break between the two wine tasting events.

The only good thing about that specific tour is that it's really small group: total of 6 people including our guide I believe they take a maximum of 8. Other tours say 'small group' and you end up with a bunch of people 40...that may be why it is quite expensive, however still too expensive for what you get and the only really interesting part in our view was the visit of Bassano del Grappa. We did not enjoy that much the rest of the tour which we found quite boring.

A wonderful day out up into the hills, saw some amazing villages towns, and the Grappa museum was a delight as was the tasting especially the cream ones highly recommend the chocolate one! The Proseco tasting was a lovely end to a lovely tour and was lovely to meet interesting people from the USA. The Market town we visited was magical as the market was open and the square a lovely place to sit and people watch. A thoroughly enjoyable day thank you.

My husband and I loved the tour! Met some great people and our tour guide Justin was awesome! Everything was delightful including the grappa and prosecco tasting. The highlight was the lunch at Trattoria Moderna Due Mori in Asolo. The food was incredible and the homemade Ravioli with nettles was delicious. The views were more than spectacular. Words can't describe the tranquil beauty!

This was an incredible day! Two travelers overslept so there were only 6 in the nice van. Marco, our driver and guide, was one of the best we have ever had. He grew up in the area we explored so it was like taking us home. The stops were really interesting and beautiful. The wine tasting was not high on my list when booking this tour because we have had some bad and pushy ones in the past. It ended up being incredible. Marco was friends with the vineyard owners and interacted with them so well. Would highly recommend this tour!!!
