What To Expect

Visit the museum that began as Venice's school of painting, sculpture, and architecture, founded in 1750 by the Veneitan Senate and moved to its current home inside the Scuola della Carità in 1807. The focus of the collection is artwork by Venetian painters through the 18th century, and the school was one of the first to study art restoration.

Many churches in Venice were destroyed during the Napoleonic period. Much of the art was confiscated. There are works of art from those churches that survive in the Accademia – the only testimony remaining from that era in some cases.

      Tha Academy is brilliant, wonderful paintings, great collection. However, we never received the correct pass to our phone and if I at hadn’t been for a kind person on the ticket desk we would have to have paid again

      Beautiful masterpieces by the best artists ! You could spend the entire day here. Truly blessed to be able see these paintings! The museum has an intricate system of controlled humidity and light conditions Well guarded and preserved masterpieces! Very impressive!

      I never got my tix emailed I had to buy another tix so I could go in. I have used Viator before never had a problem. Must be the vendor they use.

      we are "the vendor they use" and we kindly ask you to complete the story by saying that your ticket was regularly sent on the VIATOR app from which, unlike other customers, you were unable to download it.

      Never received the tickets by email and send email requesting as they said they would arrive shortly before the tour date. No response at all and had to rebook and rebuy the tickets at the museum on date of the tour. Poor POOR provider.

      DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. We were told we would have the tickets emailed to us 2 business days before our booked entry time. Never GOT the tickets. Tried calling and emailing but no help. Went to the museum and they said this was a "scam"--their words. We had to buy tickets again--AND CHEAPER-- with no line btw!! So I am out $40 US. What a rip off

      Unfortunately, I could not get our tickets to download. I tried contacting the company to let them know that I was having a problem and did not get a reply. Viator warned that this trip was arranged by the museum and not by them. This visit was also non-refundable. So again, it was unfortunate that we were unable to go.

      This was fine but to be honest the queues were very short and so we could have arrived without tickets and still been admitted very quickly. This was at about 10.30 in the morning at the beginning of September. I clearly don't know whether there would have been longer queues at other times. The Gallery was well worth a visit if you like classical paintings.

      Nichts gegen die Galleria dell’Accademia in Venedig. Die ist toll. Viator kann ich nicht empfehlen!! Schlechte und Umgangsweise mit Zusendung der Tickets/Vouchers. Ich stand in der Galleria dell’Accademia in Venedig und bin nicht reingekommen mit den Vouchers von Viator!!

      Wir haben die Gallerie der Accademia besichtigt und sie hat uns gefallen. Aber es hat uns enttäuscht, dass unser Voucher mit dem Bestätigundcode 416559 nicht im System gefunden werden konnte. Wir waren daher gezwungen, den vollen Eintrittspreis (EURO 24,-) an der Kassa zu entrichten. Wir fordern Sie auf, den von unserem Visa-Konto abgebuchten Betrag (EURO 34,08,-) umgehend zu retournieren.

      Ce musée est absolument magnifique. Néanmoins cette expérience avec viator a franchement laissé à désirer. Je n’ai jamais pu obtenu le vrai bon d’échange à présenter au musée. L’accueil a fait les démarches par téléphone, mais à contrecœur. Nous avons eu de meilleures expériences avec Viator

      Die Eintrittskarten waren länger Voraus für einen Mittwoch bestellt und bezahlt. Erst nach Nachfragen erreichte uns ein falsches Ticket für ein anderes Museum für den Donnerstag für Studenten. An der Kasse bei der Accademia hatten wir große Probleme. Viator hatte keine Bestellung bei. Museum hinterlegt. Erst nach einem Telefonat und mit Hilfe des Kassenpersonals gab Viator den Buchungscode telefonisch durch. Wir raten dringend ab, bei Viator zu buchen! Übles Erlebnis! Das brauchen wir nicht nochmal!
