Pickup details

Pickup is 2-4 hours before your flight departure time. Exact time will be advised the afternoon prior to your departure transfer date. Our boat driver will meet you at the arranged boat stop along the Grand Canal. Your stop will be chosen as close as your Hotel as possible. Venice Airport Link operates from 4am to 7pm from designated Venice meeting points. Guests are requested to present themselves at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before departure time.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

I booked this just before coming to Venice, and was really concern of how to get to the airport I spoke around and was recommended a water transfer taxi! I’m so glad we did this because it was the best way to end the trip, I was very concerned at one point because I had no idea where to meet or what time, however I had nothing to worry about because the team get in touch with you and let you know the location and time and they pick you up confirming your name! The staff was lovely and such a great trip would recommend every time!

We have used this vaporetto service before. It’s easy to book and pay online. Give the name of your hotel and they do the rest. It’s a semi-private boat service with a small group of others.

An amazing ride to the airport

The boat operator was very attentive to my need for assistance to get on and off the boat. He was very punctual and met us on time at the Hilton Molino Stucky. The most memorable moment is when we traveled under the bridges to view all the unique architecture along the canal. We also saw the most amazing sunrise!! It was quite an adventure to the airport!!

Comfort and pleasure of trip is very weather dependent.

The trip from airport to city was in an over full (12) water taxi, as it was raining hard, we were all crammed into a cabin that should have 10 maximum passengers. The luggage was carried outside the cabin and got soaking wet. Not a pleasant experience. The trip from city to airport was the complete opposite, 5 people and an extremely skilled motor boat driver whose ability to navigate the currents and the wake from the other boats was incredible. The weather was better and the trip was exhilarating, everything I hoped a transfer from Venice to airport would be.

This is a great to get to Marco Polo Airport from the city of Venice. Travel in Venice is quite different, as you can imagine! No cars, buses and the taxi's are boats. The service is great, but the driver that we had this day was rude and very rough with our luggage. I have contacted the tour operator directly, so hopefully, they will deal with the issues. I definitely recommend using this service for transfers from the airport or to the airport. It is also sort of memorable to see Venice come into view as you arrive!

Lack of communication. Boat was late for pickup to airport and the contact phone number was office only, that opens from 9:00 am. Our pickup time was 7.55 am. Boat was late by 20 minutes. Don't need the additional stress!

Was sent a picture with the pickup point, got there 15 mins early as advised. 25 minutes later no water taxi so contacted the company to find out the taxi was waiting in a different area. Had to deal with an angry, unapologetic driver and two crazy passengers shouting at me. I told the company their picture was wrong, but got no apology or even reply at all. They should ensure correct instructions are sent, as well as the taxi number beforehand so you can hunt for the right one should something go wrong.

Black Ops way of using a Water Taxi to the Airport

We loved the idea of leaving Venice with a water taxi ride to the airport. So unique. But we weren't willing to spring for a private one. So we opted for this shared water taxi. And due to the crowds and experience we had on the Vaporetto when we arrived, we weren't excited about using the Alilaguna "water bus" to the airport. As it turned out, we ended up in a very full taxi so I'm not sure we would do this again. Furthermore, we were not met at the taxi stop directly in front of our hotel as advertised, even though we were on the grand canal, and had to drag our luggage over a bridge to the single stop they used for multiple parties. Worse, they insisted on departing over 3.5 hours before our flight, even though we were the last stop before heading to the airport and our airline ticket counter didn't open until 2 hours before the flight. Finally, if you like to feel comfortable with your travel plans, this may be a bit uncomfortable. The water taxi companies this tour agency uses for its shared transfer won't even acknowledge that they provide shared services and don't sell this option themselves. Even the hotel hadn't heard of this method. Fortunately, it all worked out.

The communication from the agent was a bit light 'I should get pickup time after 3pm afternoon before leaving'. What I found out from other reviews was the details of the pickup are sent to the hotel via email directly. Just be sure to speak with hotel reception and get a print out of the pickup time and place, the afternoon before. Otherwise pickup was on time and at correct location, the driver was polite and helpful.
