Overview

Take a break from the usual sightseeing and snapping photos in Venice with this special experience that allows you to be an artist for the day. A local Venetian artist takes you to find the ideal corner of the city to paint, where you can create your own artwork with watercolors.

With the “Gallerie dell’Accademia” ‘s entrance in front of you, go on the right side and follow “Calle Contarini Corfù until you find a small bridge on your right. Cross the bridge and go straight long: after a few meters you will find the artist workshop on your right.

The customers health is the most important matter for us, the tour operates in according to the Covid-19 National directives in order to guarantee the experiences in a safe environment.
All customer touchpoints are frequently cleaned, and the tour will leave with small groups.
We only ask the kindness to bring the own mask in case you need to wear it.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

9am is a bit too early for this class

We couldn’t make the class and there were no other time options. Keep in mind when you book this that it is a long drawn out story to enter. Venice and get around. I have young kids and after traveling were in no mood to get up at 6:30am to start the trek into Venice. We lost out on $350.

This was such a wonderful experience! Our host was so incredibly nice, and we loved our time with him. He chose a beautiful picturesque position for us to set up and gave lots of helpful instruction. The only reason I didn’t give all five stars is that I do think you need a little bit more skill for this class if you expect to have a completed painting at the end. None of us have watercolor experience, but both of my kids love art so we gave it a try. We needed more guidance than time would allow. It really wasn’t much of a downside to us because we had so much fun, but it’s good to know for managing expectations. There were just the four of us, my husband and my two kids, nine and 10. We would all do it again, in a heartbeat, and totally recommend it to anyone interested! Thank you for a wonderful morning in Venice!

What a fantastic way to spend a morning. Nicola was so patient and helpful explaining drawing our subject and how to paint using watercolours. We were on a quiet canal on a sunny morning away from the tourist chaos. Highly recommend taking his class to be inspired by Venice’s beauty and try something new.

Superb! Nicola was charming and did very well accommodating different artistic levels and expertise in the same group. He instinctively knew who wanted to be steered (helped) more and who wanted to just do their own thing! It was most enjoyable and I would highly recommend it as a great activity to do whilst in Venice.

Painting a Beautiful Venice Scene

This was a great experience with a fantastic artist. Nicola was very kind and patient showing us how to sketch and then do watercolor paintings. The reason I didn’t give this five stars is because we ran out of time and didn’t get to finish our paintings. My suggestion would be that we are already given the sketches to work with and get to spend most of our time doing the watercolor painting. (We spent more time sketching than painting.) But we had a great time!

This was a very fun experience and a great opportunity to really take in the incredible sights in Venice while learning a lot of new skills. Personally, my partner and I were amateurs signing up for the course, but still managed to take home pieces we were really proud of. Nicola gave us a great private lesson, and is clearly a wealth of knowledge and experience.

This was loads of fun. The artist was excellent at coaching us through it as amateurs. The one downside was we ran out of time to finish our painting. Make sure you have started painting with at least 1 hour to go - the artist may not track time as well as you’d like.

A relaxing way to soak up Venice

We were delighted to find the experience was with an artist whose shop we had been in and purchased from on a previous trip. My son is a painter and he learnt new techniques as well as effects. My other son and I were novices, I had never painted. However our instructor catered for all of us and where we were at and walked through and assisted with each step. He also kept us both encouraged and engaged. I have such a deeper appreciation for this art method now. I only wish we had an additional hour! We were so engrossed in our work the time flew by so quickly. It was a very relaxing morning and a beautiful way to see venice through an artists eye. And we have our own art works!

Incredible! The artist was so kind and warm. He took us to a gorgeous location near his studio and we set up along the water in a fairly quiet area. It was even better than we hoped. Family of 4 with 13 year old kids.
