One of France’s most important World War II landmarks, Pointe du Hoc is best known for its role in the D-Day Landings. Today, the promontory overlooking the Normandy coast is a destination for history buffs, those with personal ties to the conflict, and others wishing to pay tribute to the many soldiers who lost their lives here.
An amazing experience with a wonderful guide! Regis was so accommodating and knowledgeable. It was an educational and touching experience. If you are in Paris, I highly recommend this D Day experience. It is a long day, but worth the time and expense to honor the young men who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Bring a rain jacket.
This tour is an absolute must !
Our tour guide, Regis, was spectacular. We learned so much history, and seeing the historic locations in person made all the difference. Regis is the Best. Ask for him as your guide.
Regis was the best tour guide ever! Knowledgeable and enthusiastic, he taught us a lot. Point du Hoc was gorgeous and like Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, a solemn place. It’s impossible to overstate the bravery of those men who turned the tide of WWII. Also visited the Overlord Museum which gave us a good look at the implements of war during that time.
Great event, Regis was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Well worth the money. Good overview and excited to go back to learn more. Would like to spend more days with Regis to learn more.
Highly recommend! The best tour guide and experience we’ve ever had. Can’t say enough about the journey. Very informative on the history of Normandy Beach. Thank you Regis for a wonderful time! We will tell our friends about this.
I do not know where to begin. This tour was off the chart good. Regis is guide like never before. Not only could he give you the history, but had pictures on his phone to back up what he was talking about. My travel companion and I were the only two on the tour the day we went and it allowed Regis to take us to extra sights that normally would not have had time to hit. If you are an American you need to see where our soldiers died to keep the majority of the world a free place to live.
Great trip and guide. Regis is extremely well informed and provides outstanding information while visiting the sites. Great execution and day spent outside of Paris.
