Kullen was an absolutely wonderful guide around Zaanse Schans. He was very personable, a safe driver, and very knowledgeable about the history of the area, the windmills, cheese and clog making, and chocolate. Such a beautiful area and a wonderful tour!

Loved seeing this adorable little town. So quaint and you feel like you’re experiencing history. Loved the clog and cheese demonstration but the highlight is the beautiful windmills.

Charming historic village where we learned so much about the milling lifestyle from firsthand knowledgeable guide. Esther offered amazing insights into Holland's international presence in maritime history , trade, and agriculture. We sampled cheese, chocolate, and watched the clogmakers at work. Highly recommend this tour a short way out of the city .

Ray our Guide was excellent. She listened to our goals, got us everywhere we wanted — and then more. We left the AMS Airport and returned efficiently and with absolutely no stress at all with plenty of time to spare. We especially loved that Ray is a longtime local resident with a vast knowledge of the Dutch history, as well as, present day. Unfortunately the most memorable was that our pickup time at 9 am was not adhered to. It was 9:30 and not at the location indicated on our tickets. I called at 9 am to ask where our guide was and told “they should be there soon”. 1/2 an hour later we were told to walk to another location due to construction. The info was given to us by someone working at the hotel we were waiting at, we were not called. Fortunately our guide made up for the rough start! She was great!! Thanks Esther! Very knowledgeable! She Made up for the ones who organized the tour

We loved this tour!! Our guide, Ray, was lovely and a local to Zaanse Schans! She knew all about the area, the history and everything really! She was wonderful, great person to spend a few hours with exploring a new area. We took the private tour and had full control over the day, pace and where we wanted to stop in and such. The little town of Zaanse Schans was really interesting and beautiful! We went in mid September and there weren’t too many people, quite peaceful actually. We got great photos too, with less people! We got to climb to the top of a windmill which I wasn’t expecting on this tour and was a real treat!! The tour could also start and stop where we wanted, pick up and drop off in Amsterdam could be where we please and the company was very communicative about it. I even had to change our pickup location the day before and all was well. I’ll have memories made from this day for life and would highly recommend to anyone! :)

Absolutely fantastic tour. Our host, Ingrid, was brilliant and made the visit into something special. It was a perfect way to spend the morning and I would recommend the tour and in particular the guide to everybody. Ingrid's knowledge of Dutch history was second to none.

Our guide gave us a great private tour of the windmills and little village. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even arranged a private cheese making demo for us! The tour was a very nice way to spend a few hours in the country.

The windmill tour was very interesting. Enjoyed the cheese store and 5 min demo. I think our expectations were very high that this would be a very educational tour and there would be alot more there. It really is not a 3 hour tour...we were done in about 2 hours and then just kind of walked around killing time. We were not there to stop to eat or drink coffee so maybe that would take up some time. I thought this tour was overpriced compared to the many Viator tours we have had. It was almost triple what we paid in Krakow for a four hour tour where we really saw a great deal. I would just go to Zaanse Schans on your own. Pay for UBER and walk around on your own.
