Breathtaking tulip experience

The tour taught a lot about the history of tulips and of the way they are grown. The best part of the tour was a visit to the Keukenhof Gardens that were full of the most beautiful displays of tulips of all color and variety.

The Keukenhoff Gardens are absolutely breathtaking! We went the week after festival and were told the flowers wouldn't be as nice. Not true. There was an abundance of every color imaginable - complimented by orchids, daffodils, hydrangeas, etc. The park is amazing with pavilions spaced just right for reasonable walks and reduced crowds. The historical part of the tour was great as well. It included info on cultivation, a small but full garden, a gift shop and snack bar - all set up for the enjoyment and comfort of the guests. Our guide provided additional information on the ride to the gardens and kept us all together. The weather was not good, but no one can predict that. Thank you! This was a great tour.

learning how to care for tulips and the grandeur of so many tulips in one place. The garden was spectacular and easy to navigate. My sister and I especially enjoyed seeing the orchid building. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants a true tulip experience

Poor customer service from this operator

We were scheduled for this tour and encountered terrible traffic on the way to the meeting location. The street we were on had an accident and we could not navigate away from it. We called Viator and explained the situation. We asked if we could take separate transportation to Keukenhof and meet up with our tour there. We were told that we could not do that and to drive to the meeting site to pick up tickets for entry into Keukenhof. We were in a taxi at this time and the others in our group were questioning if this was possible, because the meeting location was a cafe and they were questioning if there would be someone in the cafe to provide us with out entry tickets to Keukenhof. We called Viator back, and the rep on the second call told us that our QR code on the Viator tickets would work for entry into Keukenhof as well as the canal cruise that we purchased with this package. At this time, the taxi driver changed direction and began driving us directly to Keukenhof. I was questioning her about this because I didn't believe that the QR code could be used in three separate entries/vendors, the Viator Tour, entry into Keukenhof, and entry for a Canal Cruise. We were on the phone for at least 15 minutes with her and had since changed our direction to drive directly to Keukenhof based on her instruction. She called the tour operator again at my request (this didn't make sense to me) and then finally got back to me, all the while we were driving away from the cafe towards Keukenhof. She let me know she was mistaken and that we needed to drive back to the cafe to pick up our tickets. By this time, we had almost 100 euro in accumulated taxi charges and we were 1/2 way to Keukenhof. We ended up driving to Keukenhof by taxi, which was 200 euro and purchased separate tickets there for entry. When we contacted Viator (and this operator) for a refund based on giving us conflicting directions, they refused to issue any type of resolution.

The gardens and experience were great. Our guide was a little lacking. Direction about where we were what we were to do was not clear. I understood that we would get some guidance through the gardens at least a bit versus just telling us to get a map and what time to be back to the bus. Also we were supposed to get something for a discount on a canal cruise and nothing was said on that.

It was a lovely experience at the keukenhorf garden. The driver and guide are experienced and safe bus ride with full commentary of Netherlands and the keukenhorf gardens . I was expecting a bit more on the tulip experience a the farm to have commentary there. If not all’s good, the apple pie there is nice.
