Forget it

First Roger went to wrong hotel. Second he had us walk to Jewish Quarter rather than take included transportation ( my wife uses a walker). Then his knowledge seemed minimal. I do not recommend this tour.

Not Jewish enough!

Nicest, most lovely guide ever but not enough of a Jewish imprint to warrant this tour. Or, the price should have been 1/2 what it was as it was barely 90 minutes and only went to one place of significance.Not fault of guide but there is just not enough to see to warrant a tour.

This was extremely disappointing and we found the guide uninformed and antisemitic. I don’t think it is fair to offer this tour unless you have a more sensitive and knowledgeable guide. For what it was it was vastly overpriced

Guide was very nice but really didn’t seem that knowledgeable about the tours subject matter. She seemed a bit unfamiliar with the Jewish quarter layout, etc

Way overpriced!

Roger was very good with the history, but he was 10 minutes late getting us and was going to leave us at the old synagogue. When we told him we had no idea where we were and how to get back to the hotel, he took us to a square and said “your hotel is right over there.” We wondered around for half an hour before we found our way back. Turned out he was correct. We turned the wrong direction. He should have been more sensitive to our expressing that we were not oriented. I don’t care where the tour is scheduled to end. You don’t leave too old people who are disoriented on a very hot day. We were so close to the hotel. He could have taken the 5 minutes to walk us back. Since he was late, he really owed us the time!

Excellent Guide. Daniel made the tour memorable for my wife and me. We loved his personal stories and how he related these stories to the historic Jewish Community. He was so patient and careful with us as we climbed the stairs and maneuvered around the winding streets. Very impressive tour and very impressive guide, In our 50 years plus travels in Europe and Asia. thjs tour ranks in the top of the list. It helped make the historic Jewish section as well as the city of Lisbon come alive in so many ways. We wish Daniel could lead tours for us in other cities and in other major attractions. Not super Jewish history

Disappointing. No real context to how Jews fit inside of Spain’s recent history just the Inquisition. And our guide was rushed from the beginning to get to another tour. He had no pictures or graphs. His English was fair so understanding terms was hard. He only listened to me and missed a lot of what my husband asked. He also didn’t connect obvious Hebrew connections to terms as he didn’t know

Great guide. Bad tour

Our guide was wonderful, but all of the sites you would want to see on this tour have been closed since the pandemic. In truth the tour company should not even offer this tour. It’s unfortunate. Our guide shouldn’t have ever been put in that position and she deserved better as well as five stars for our guide. Zero stars to the tour company that sells this tour.

Roger, our tour guide, was very prompt, friendly, and courteous. He was also very knowledgeable about what relatively little is known about the history of the Jewish Quarter. Jewish life stopped in 1492, but Roger did point out what is left and was very informative.

First, our guide, Roger, arrived late and we felt quite rushed throughout the whole tour. He also left us about 15 minutes before the two hours were over. We have been reading about the Jewish community in Barcelona on MUHBA website and discovered that the information he gave us was quite superficial and did not mention that there were two areas where Jews settled and he did not elaborate on some of the important history. He also did not mention that the MUHBA El Call existed. We spent more time with non-Jewish things before we got to the Jewish Quarter.

Jorge, our tour guide came on time and picked us up from our hotel as we have been promised. His knowledge about the history and the little streets we walked on was incredible. He was kind, funny and respectful. After our tour ended he even pointed us close by point of interestsas well. We strongly recommend this tour especially with Jorge.

This was a very enjoyable and interesting Walking Tour. Not too long but provides a good understanding of the history of the Jewish Community before 1500 in Barcelona and its integration into the community as well as its isolation.

The guide,Alan, arrived on time and took us by subway to La Rambla. He didn’t have any set plans. We walked around the area with explanations of the history of Barcelona not specifically the Jewish history. We passed by the synagogue and had I not reminded him tha we were supposed to go inside, he would have just had us walk by. No water or map were provided as stated in the inclusion section
