A Wonderful Day at One of the NEW 7 Wonders of the World
Freebird_M, Apr 2024
My family had an incredibly memorable day at Chichén Itzá and on this tour! We could not have been happier with our guide and driver, who were both informative, friendly, accommodating, and attentive. My wife and I had been several times, both as students, and me as a teacher who taken students several times, but this trip was special, we were taking our own two children. Upon asking my kids about their experience, my daughter responded that she loved our guide and how he explained the history of the Mayans. It was a riveting journey through the ball court and around the main pyramid, as well as touring the observatory and the palace. Overall, the Chichén Itzá tour lasted about two hours, which was perfect. We then ventured to Hacienda Selva Maya and Cenote Saamal-a, a fantastic afternoon soent eating at the restaurant (all-you-can-eat and very pleasurable meal) and then cooled off in the cenote. I had been to Cenote Ik’il and really liked this one as it provided a much less crowded and very authentic experience of an open-air cenote. I recommend doing the photo package, arranged upon your arrival, so you can enjoy your time with the family and not worry about your cell phone. We ended the trip with a quick stop at the Valladolid main square for pictures and a souvenir stop at an artisan’s market. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, at one of the NEW 7 Wonders of the World!
Amazing Tour Guide & Enjoyable Day
Lisa_D, Apr 2024
My husband and I had a phenomenal time with Josue and Rodolfo. Josue was our tour guide and he is so passionate about the Mayan culture and history. It just oozes out of him in his storytelling and he is so knowledgeable! It was a great experience where we learned a lot, but he also respected and gave us space to enjoy the ride and not talk our ears off... which was welcomed. Great at reading the vibe and knowing when to give us a few and when to play tour guide some more. I never felt rushed at a sight and had ample opportunity to take pictures and wander around. This was a big deal for us as I hate group tours where you are constantly being pushed from place to place, this private experience was just amazing! Lunch was amazing and we had ample time again to swim and wander at the site - just relaxing and awesome. The little town was ok - I thought it would be a bit with shops and more history to explore/see but, the church was cool as were the colors on the buildings and we enjoyed walking the park, getting ice cream and taking in the culture. Rudolfo was our driver and he was kind and I always felt safe as he drove. The only slight recommendation I would give is for the cost of the tour a slight upgrade in the vehicle comfort/class. It was a standard low-end tour van that had been through the wringer a bit inside, but it ran well so overall a minor comment on an otherwise amazing day!
Amazing Tour!

Alberto & Carlos were amazing! (I hope I spell their names right) I highly recommend booking private tours for any tours from Cancun. The A/C in the fan, the privacy, the one on one learning from our experienced and knowledgeable guide, the cenote…it was all amazing. The pick up and drop off. Do yourself a favor and book your excursions with these guys and enjoy every moment of your trip!
Great trip to Chichen Itza with an amazing guide!
Matthew_J, Mar 2024
Our guide Victor Manuel and our driver Omar were amazing. Victor Manuel was so informative and shared so much information. The ride from Cancun felt very quick because he told us so many stories and we learned so much. Chichen itza was amazing to see and was definitely a wonder of the world. Incredible engineering by the incredible Mayan people. On the way back, we had a great buffet lunch and then a swim in a cenote. Very relaxing and refreshing. And, then we stopped in Valladolid. Amazing to see this old town and the history. Definitely loved every minute of this trip. Informative, comfortable air conditioned van with drinks and snacks. Ask for Victor Manuel and Omar and you will not be disappointed if you love history and want to know every thing there is about the Mayans and Chichen Itza!!!
Tour Guide and Driver - 5 Stars Each ⭐️
Kirsten_C, Mar 2024
Our driver, Benjamin, got us safely to and from the sites, with good humor and great driving. Enrique, our private tour guide, was a retired History professor who was funny, so knowledgeable, and slid tidbits of info to us all day long, while steering us in the best directions for our adventure. I thought Chichen Itza was all I’d hoped for, but the Chen cenote, Selva Maya, was absolutely incredible…and I jumped in twice. It was all magic. I can highly recommend this private tour. 😍😎
Chichén Itzá, Selva Maya gluten free buffet Highly Recommend
Bill_a, Mar 2024
Victor Manuel was our tour guide and Omar was the driver. Victor was so full of history during the drive we didn’t realize how long of a drive it was from Cancun. Omar guided us with ease. Victor then walked us around Chichen Itzá providing great history and astronomy. We all thoroughly enjoyed the information. Next up was Cenote at Selva Maya and the buffet lunch. Victor was able to help guide my son and me on what was gluten free (Celiac disease) and the food did not disappoint. It was fantastic. I recommend the pork and the coconut dessert. We could have gone swimming but I forgot about it. Whoops. Last was a stop to shop in one of the oldest towns in Mexico. It was nice to get out and stretch. I highly recommend the tour and Victor Manuel and Omar!
Private tour is worth it
Kelly_V, Mar 2024
What a fun day! We learned so much. Victor Manuel (guide) and Alfredo (driver) were wonderful! The private tour is the way to go. We could go at our pace (which is usually faster than a large group). So instead of the tour taking 13+ hours as advertised in the group tour, we did it in 10 hours, without any rushing (or waiting around for everyone else). Ask for Victor Manuel and Alfredo by name. They will make your trip exceptional!
Worth every penny; Victor is an amazing guide.
Will_V, Mar 2024
Victor was a phenomenal guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Mayan culture and history, and he definitely goes the extra mile to make sure that you learn plenty on your trip. The price may seem like a lot, but after observing the large groups touring together, this private tour is well worth the money. We beat the extremely large crowds to each stop and Victor allowed us to modify our itinerary after we had arrived to Chichen Itza. The lunch at Selva Maya was amazing as well. I absolutely recommend this trip to anyone going to Chichen Itza.
Great Day Trip from Playa
Buck_H, Mar 2024
Changed at last minute to Tulum and Cenote Sac Actun to save some time. It was a great trip and kids absolutely loved the cenote. Great guide and driver.
Great experience, expensive but worth it.
Julio_I, Mar 2024
This tour was amazing and worth every penny. I enjoyed the detailed explanation of the Chichen Itzá’s pyramid and the astronomical genius behind it. The cenote was nice, as well as lunch there. Our guide gave us useful tips about whereto buy handcrafts so we focus on visiting the monastery in Valladolid.
Amazing and unforgettable experience
Ronjan_S, Feb 2024
We had a fabulous day trip with our fabulous tour guide Omar and our driver … also Omar. We appreciated the detailed tour of Chichén Itzá that also accommodated us having a young child. We then went to a cenote for lunch and an amazing swim. It was an unforgettable experience.

Victor Manuel’s extensive knowledge made the tour very enjoyable. Rodolfo (driver) was sweet and patient as we had to return to the van several times for forgotten items. They allowed us to modify time schedule and easily adapted to our wants based on our prerogative. {1 of the 7 wonders of the world visited!}
Informative and easy going tour
Sarah_C, Jan 2024
Our tour guide Victor was delightful and gave a thorough history of the Mayans as we traveled to Chichen Itza. He guided us for about an hour once we got there and gave us an hour to explore on our own with recommendations. I unfortunately had surgery a few weeks before the trip and Victor and our driver Benjamin were very accommodating. We went to Selva Maya and it had an excellent lunch buffet. Our last stop was Vallodolid and Victor had a great coffee recommendation. Highly recommend this tour, they make the experience so easy!
A trip worth taking
Jody_Y, Jan 2024

The tour is greate; our guide was greate; our driver was greate. The only negative would be the car. It was a little old and the AC was dropping water (condens) inside the van, on some of us. But the personnel was very friendly and the tour worth the miney. We had everything included.
The beautiful work of the Mayans
Lynne_C, Jan 2024
It was wonderful to get up close to the rock sketches at Chichen Itza. The carvings were so detailed and still so vivid.
Fantastic Excursion
Jennifer_S, Jan 2024
Great private excursion long drive from playa Mujeres but worth it. Impressive ruins and Mayan history!
Not worth it
Helena_W, Jan 2024
The idea of the private tour is great, however, our guide was not at all as excited to be there as we were. It was obvious he wanted to get back as soon as possible, his English was not so great and when we compared him to other guides seen around, not at all informative. I would really expect much more from a PRIVATE tour. Also, he cut out a visit to Valldolid, per his explanation the town was closed due to a presidential visit, which proved not to be true while driving though perfectly open a vibrant town. So guess the tour could be nice, you just need to be lucky with the drive. Also note - for your money, you get each 1 drink (during the whole trip😅) and 1 small pack of chips…
