Overview

Don’t just dine on Italian fare when you’re in Italy—learn to make it yourself. For this hands-on cooking class, you’ll be welcomed into the home of a professional Cesarina, Italy’s age-old network of home cooks. You’ll then get to rolling “sfoglia,” or pasta (both filled and fresh), and layer that most beloved of Italian desserts, tiramisu. Once the apron’s off, it’s time to taste the fruit of your new-found skills.

    • Please note that our Cesarine are ready and thrilled to host you in their homes! All Cesarine are always very careful and attentive of the important sanitary rules needed, even more now! The homes provide all the essential sanitary equipment for the guests (paper towels for washing hands, hand sanitizing gel and so on). Remember to always maintain 1 meter distance from each other and if not, wear masks and gloves

    Cancellation Policy

    You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

    • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
    • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
    • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
    • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
    • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

    Marina was incredible. It felt like we were invited to an old friends house for some culinary fun. Her house was amazing and the experience was informative and delicious.

    Francesca was a wonderful teacher and her efforts showed in the delicious results we created. She made it seem so simple to create pasta and tiramisu at home. We can’t wait to re-create the same meal again. It will never measure up to doing this in her beautiful kitchen and enjoying the meal in her comfortable and welcoming home.

    Francesca was such an amazing host. She welcomed me into her home and made me feel comfortable. She is an enthusiastic teacher and an ever better chef. The food was so delicious I couldn’t believe I had just made it…from scratch! Although I cannot bring food home to my loved ones, I can bring home my new skills and recipes.

    Would have loved to experience, but was not given instructions on how to get there until the last minute even thou a request to Viator was given the week before the client left from the United States. No reason all information should have been supplied on voucher.

    This was the highlight of our trip. We were hosted by the best couple and they made our night complete. We made two pastas and desert and everything we ate was absolutions amazing! We are going to do this again next time.

    We had a wonderful afternoon learning to make ravioli, spaghetti and tiramisu. Carlo was a fabulous host and teacher, sharing lots of his personal tips which we’re all eager to try out when we get home. Best of all we got to eat genuine homemade Tuscan food which we helped to make. Overall a wonderful experience spent with a very generous host. We can highly recommend this activity to anyone who loves good food and company.

    It was so comfortable. I had no idea what to expect. I had my 22 year old son and 20 year old daughter. I can not believe how great it was. I was sure I would be getting eye rolls and irritation from them. It was fantastic and everyone had a great time. The food was beyond excellent as well. I can not wait to try ot on my own. Truly the most fun. Best part of the stop in Florence for sure!

    Most importantly the pasta making class was excellent and our hostess and chef absolutely lovely. I would repeat that experience again. The issue was not with the host but with viator. They were supposed to give us the address because we were going to someone's home (which in of itself was an experience worth having). However viator never sent the address, did not answer the phone and ultimately was using AI to respond to whatsapp, giving me a response of, and I'm not kidding, the city of Florence when we asked repeatedly for the address. For 24 hours we tried and finally found a way to get to ceasarine which you can book direct to get the address and phone number of our wonderful host who guided us right to where we needed to he albeit 30 minutes late due to how awful viator was foe this. Normally viator does well but not when you apparently don't have a public place to meet. For pasta making classes seems booking direct may be better.
