What To Expect

Your wine tasting tour will begin with pickup in central Florence. Settle into your seat for a 1-hour drive to the famous wine region of Chianti, and watch the landscape transform from the bustling city streets of Florence to rolling vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees.

Upon arriving, make your way to two wineries to sample the best blends of the region. With the help of your sommelier guide, learn how the Canaiolo and Sangiovese grapes are grown and sip to discover the varying characteristics of each blend. You’ll also have a chance to try a Chianti Classico, a regional favorite made from grapes grown between Florence and Siena. Taste up to six Chianti wines at both cellars, along with top-quality Tuscan olive oils.

Afterward, pause for lunch at a nearby cooking school, indulging in a typical Tuscan lunch. Sample more Italian wines while you eat, as drinks are also included with your meal.

Wow I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Eleanora was so informative. We had a small group only 4 of us. The wineries were amazing and lots of wine to taste!! The lunch was delicious! Cheese, meat, pasta, desert! The olive oil tasting was great. Bought wine & oil to take home!

We had a unique olive oil tasting experience seeing how it was made and sipped on some lovely super Tuscans and Sangiovese wines! The tour guide Chiara was lovely, knowledgeable and fun! I’d highly recommend this tour

Great wine, great views, but not as advertised

Guides were knowledgeable and the rides to the different wineries weren’t too long. Most of the wine was delicious and the views were amazing. The wineries gave great explanations of their processes for making wine and olive oil and history of the winery/family. Food was ok, but not great. Also we had a group of 4 and we had to split up into two different vans which was upsetting as we wanted to experience the whole tour together. The ad said for up to 15 people, but the vans only fit 8 people so just know that if you’re going in a group you may be split up.

Our website says that the tour can host up to 16 people, but the exact distribution depends on the size of the groups of guests that share the experience. Simply outstanding! Elenora was our guide for the day - wonderful manner and friendliness and absolute area expert in history, culture and customs. She added so much richness and felt like a friend by end of the day. Three wineries visited, each also producing olive oil. We tasted the wines and oils at each. A bit different focus and presentation by each - very well rounded over the day. The lunch was delicious! Small group indeed - Elenora and 4 of us guests in a very comfortable Mercedes van. Highlight of our time in Tuscany. Highly recommend this tour, and ANY tour where Elenora is your guide!

My mother and I booked this tour and could not have enjoyed it more! The group was small enough to feel intimate, yet large enough to find friends with common interests. Both guides (Brando was one) were funny and full of information about the wineries and the Tuscany region. All three boutique wineries were exceptional experiences, but the Fattoria di Bagnolo went beyond expectation, with the tour conducted by the Bartolini family heiress, Giovanna, who gave the most wonderful presentation full of anecdotes and history. It’s clear just how passionate she is about the Chianti wine culture and her family’s heritage! The last winery was in a truly stunning setting with lunch in a medieval dining room that was straight out of “Game of Thrones!” They were incredibly accommodating for dietary restrictions, too, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options for all of us! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

visited 3 different wineries, of different natures--one smaller, another more established, another family run--all excellent. A bit educational about wine (and oil) production, and the differences between several styles. Altogether tried about 15 different wines and 4 or 5 olive oils. Beautiful countryside, nice lunch, and even a brief visit to a village in Chianti area (Greve)

Mateo, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, and a safe driver. We thoroughly enjoyed having detailed tours of each of the wineries, and the samples poured were generous. The meal was delicious, and the staff at the restaurant were also welcoming and attentive. We loved this tour!

This was a lovely trip. We visited three wineries and tasted three type of wine in each one of them and we also got to taste some amaing olive oils. All of the wineries offerd something different and it was run very efficiently. Our guide for the day, Nathan, was very informative and we had lots of fun with the other guests. We got to see some lovely countryside and had a great day.

We went to Florence and booked this tour to celebrate our upcoming 40th birthdays. We visited three wineries, each with their own wine selection and personal flavor. The lunch at the last winery was delicious and the Chianti Classico was perfect. We enjoyed the tour and the great company we had. The only downside was the air conditioning in the minivan which was not working that great. We really felt the heat on our way back. Tip: ask what the transportation fee is when you buy wine and want it deliver to your door.

Beautiful Tuscany countryside. Christina was a good tour guide. We had a good driver as well. Wine/olive oil experts at wineries very knowledgeable & pleasant. Lunch: pastry type appetizers, pasta with meat & chocolates cake. Felt carb loaded, a little fruit or vegetables side dish would be nice. Recommend trip. From start to finish about 7 hours.
