Hi Sherry,
We are very sorry to hear that you had some issues with the scooter size.
We use two different types of vespas to allow people who are smaller & lighter (or novices) to have an alternative scooter to use to the vespa primavera that are heavier and more difficult to manoeuvre.
Unfortunately the smaller vespas that we use are the smallest vespa that Piaggio sells on the market; they have standard sizes and those are not attributable to our business.
Regarding the weight, the vespas are made of a motor, wheels, suspensions etc and in order to be reliable have to be built with strong materials which all together make a weight of 80kg (for our smaller model).
We always recommend to our guests to email us ahead of time in case they have special requests so that we can help them with the bookings.
Regarding the ability to ride a scooter it is very personal. About 60% of the people who take our vespa tours have no experience and a large part of them at the end of the practice can ride confidently.
The large parking lot that we use is also used by local parents to teach their kids how to drive cars and motorcycles therefore we have just the perfect location for the practice.
We offer all the possible assistance for our guests to make sure they are able to ride safely on roads.
Thank you for sharing your opinion with us.
Kind regards
Alessio & Filippo
