What To Expect

Your day touring the Tuscan countryside by classic Vespa begins with pickup directly at the tour office—conveniently located in the heart of Florence—and a short transfer on board an air-conditioned minivan to the countryside meeting point.

Get comfortable with your Vespa during a short tutorial, then set off behind your guide through the rolling landscape of Tuscany past vineyards, olive groves, and stately villas. Stop along the way to snap photos and learn a bit about the region’s history and culture before ending at a private castle in the Chianti Rufina hills.

Tour the castle winery, then relax over a wine-tasting lunch plus sample the estate’s extra-virgin olive oil. End with a minivan transfer back to the Florence meeting point so you can imbibe during lunch worry-free.

That was a true highlight of the visit. Tuscany as you have thought about it in very personal touch. Views, Vespa ride, wine testing with very personal approach. Keep it to the last day might be good idea, to get that unforgettably wou! effect. Safety is important portion of what you to experience, they keep it high. If you not sure/confident; option of the back-ride will be offer. On rode good escort technic implemented (bypass of the intersections etc).

Had a great time! The Van takes you up to a family run winery where you hop on a Vespa for a ride around the hills. Ended with a nice lunch and 2 wine tasting. Very organized.

My family had an amazing time cruising through Tuscany on vespas, learning about how wine is made, and having a delicious lunch at a winery. The guide was hilarious and entertaining on the way there, the tour of the winery was extremely informative, and the ride through the country was better than you can possibly imagine. We highly recommend this tour!

Warm greeting and some good humor to start. The Vespa training did not go well for most of the group, took a long time. The ride was nice but we stopped for pictures in an area with phone wires. So much beauty and this spot was odd considering. The vineyard was more modern inside and not that interesting, the views outside were beautiful. The food was nice but very simple, the wine was minimal, two bottles of each of two tastings for 9ppl. Not what we experienced on other tours. One guide was pleasant to begin but then seemed to turn, one did not engage at all, the third was erratic.

This was one of our most favorite tours we’ve done in Italy! Our guides Dejan and Luca were very lively and funny. My husband and I rode together on the Vespa and I enjoyed sitting back and taking in the beautiful views. Then we had lunch and wine, delicious! The meeting point was easy to find, no problems. I would recommend this tour, definitely a highlight of our trip.

This was the second time we took this tour. The second time was extremely disappointing. The Vespa was ok test run on gravel driveway. The winery lunch was awful not enough food or wine. In the description it states plenty of Chianti wine they served only 2 bottle for nine people. They had the group purchase more wine to drink with our lunch. They never opened the dessert wine. My daughters has allergies we emailed Viator when booking they assured us she would be able to eat, also informed the guides at the beginning of tour they disregarded what we said, Overall it was not worth the price.

If you had any problem with type of food or amount of wine, easly you should have comunicated that at the moment, and could fix it, your daughter had gluten free pasta and we never served carots on this tour. I tried to call you, and you wanted a refund to cancel the review, I honestly prefer the review, now it's my turn. Piper, real house wife of Boston, even the husband John didn't want to bring her on the back of his Vespa, because she hysterically cried, for some reason, and end up ride with a guide, who had problem to calm her down. When we stop, because her daughter couldn't drive a Vespa safely she hopped-off the guide's Vespa and run in the middle of the road, gave us extremely hard time. Highlight of our trip to Florence! Vespa seemed a little tricky during the initial practice on a gravel driveway, especially if you've have no experience with a motorcycle or scooter, but my boys said it was easy to ride on the open road. They emphasize safety first and foremost! I was a passenger and although I wanted to ride my own initially, I was better able to look around and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Awesome tour! Combination of Vespa adventures and wine tasting. We had 2 Vespa experts and 1 sommelier so the trip was very fun and informative. Extra bonus is that the family owned winery we visited is exclusive to the tour, so you only share it with your group. Great food and wine for lunch. Tuscany was gorgeous. Highly recommend!

We had a great time on our Vespa tour with our guide, Deejan! He made it a super fun day, while also ensuring we received the proper instruction to operate the vespas and kept our safety as a priority. Ending the tour with a visit and tasting to the winery completed a great day. Prior to the tour, a few email inquiries I had were answered in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. Deejan was a great host and we would highly recommend his tour.

So the Vespa ride was amazingly fun. I do understand the safety aspect of things and making sure someone knows how to ride one. However if you are going to teach someone or make sure they can ride one don’t do it on a small dirt road that is uneven with loose gravel. I was ok driving but others had issues and the “training road” was nothing like the real road and the others would have been fine. Also the winery was nice but the operator there(think his name was Luca) was just rude once you weren’t going to buy anything. So for the experience a definite yes but be wary

You might not be able to ride and you will lose money

Be aware that driving a vespa is like a motorcycle and you are tested before being allowed to go. I have never driven one before and did not pass the test so my partner and I stayed at the winery- all in all it was a very expensive wine tasting and no money back if you cannot ride. Don’t consider this if you have never driven a scooter before- the “lesson” was less than 60 seconds and the test about the same On gravel.

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Driving the Vespa is way harder than it looks, so please know that going in. I did not "pass" the test, but got to go as a passenger and that (for me) was better than driving as I could focus all of my attention on looking around at the amazing surroundings. The property we visited was a wonderful stop...great apps and local wine. I would highly recommend this tour.
