An authentic place to learn about history. I have been before but learned so much more this time. Guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.
Excellent Guides to two important Polish sites.
JACQUI_K, Mar 2024
We were collected from our hotel to be taken to a larger meet-up point for onward travel to the Salt Mine than Auscwitz. The pick-ups were on-time and drivers friendly. The Guides on the bus and the Salt Mine were very helpful and informative. The Salt Mine itself was very impressive. We then went on to Auschwutz-Birkenau - the Guide for this trip was outstanding. We learned so much and he was able to add so much more than we could have gained from a recorded tour or pamphlet. Clearly this part of the trip was harrowing, but the Guide led us through the camps with respect. Although it was a long day, we feel it was the best way to visit these two important Polish sites whilst still allowing us time to independently explore other areas of Krakow.
Keep to the brief and don't change times and pick up points

I really enjoy Zakopana, we had a very good guide,Jacek Gietka, who was very helpful, he organised my next day pickup point, as my battery in my phone died and I had no way of communicating with the trip provider. Tge hot springs were a disappointmen, way too many people, The saltimines trip very good but far too much waiting for the tour to start, and its a tough tour so shouldn't be expected to stand around waiting. All in all good tours.
Long day but rewarding

This is a very long day (11 hours) yet personally rewarding. Pack some snacks as we didn’t get to eat until after 1:30pm at the salt mines. The 2 1/2 hour tour down the mine is probably an hour too long & everyone was very over it. But up until the main cavern/cathedral room it was pretty good.

Tour itself was good, the bus was overbooked and crowded which led to disuptes about seating arrangements
Auschwitz camp is a must visit in krakow.

I love the voice of the guide in Auschwitz. She was like telling a story for 2hrs tour. Very enriching time of learning the history. Love it. There was a bit of anxiousness bcos after a book the ticket two days in advance asking for time n place to pick up, there was no response for 24hrs. Till I called up the local agent. I was abt to cancel the trip.
Mixed feelings
Helena_B, Sep 2022
I’m not sure how to rate this. The tour itself was fantastic. The tour organization was terrible. First, the organizers emailed me approx 18 hours prior to the shuttle bus departure that we would have to meet them at Auschwitz and it would be up to us to figure out our transportation from Krakow city center to Auschwitz, then to the Salt Mines, and back to city center. So, after we paid for the shuttle, and then less than 24 hours notice (outside the window of opportunity to cancel the tour), they notified us that we were on our own for transportation. I was in panic. I immediately contacted them and had to explain that…..per the booking….we were meeting them at the pickup point….as it was clearly written on the booking reservation. That was the first obstacle. The shuttle was supposed to leave at 8am, and they notified us that it would now be 9:30. So we started out an hour and a half late. There were 17 of us on the shuttle bus. When we arrived at Auschwitz, the tour organizer split us into two groups….no idea why….but half of us went with one tour guide where we joined about a dozen people who were NOT on our shuttle bus. The other half of our bus joined another group of people not associated with our shuttle bus and a different guide. We all thought it was strange that our group was split up. The tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau was incredible and the guide was superb. This part of our day was truly well received. Then those of us on our shuttle bus headed back to the parking lot where the bus was and we waited over an hour and a half for the second group of our shuttle bus to complete their tour of Auschwitz and Birkenau. And we waited…and waited. Nothing to do…but sit and wait. And wait. Everyone was getting antsy. And frustrated. By the time the second group from our bus completed the tour and we were finally all together, everyone started chatting about how poorly it was organized and how they waited about 90 minutes to even start the tour…..while we waited on the back end to complete the tour. Our shuttle bus group should never have been split into two separate groups. And we all thought it was so strange to split us up. By the time we left Auschwitz it was heavy traffic and took a bit longer to get to the salt mines. We, of course, were the only ones at the salt mines and we were all quite sure that they held the mines open for us. The salt mines were fabulous and another great guide we had there. All in all, the actual tours were remarkable…..but the tour organizers were terrible and I would not use this company again. I’m confident all 17 of us on the shuttle bus pretty much felt the same way.

Thank you for your substantive comment. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with this day. I checked the booking process step by step. 1. It's true; the time was changed from 8:00 to 9:30, unfortunately we do not have influence on the assigned visiting hours in the museum, in this case, due to the limits in the museum, we had to shift the start time of the trip. Please remember that the time you choose is more informative and we provide the exact pickup time the day before the trip and we try to make the pickup time as close as possible to the one you choose. The pick-up time depends on the location of the hotel, the planned bus route and the assigned visiting time at the museum. 2. Any time, even after the 24-hour deadline, for a free cancellation, you can write to the support of the tour seller that "we ask for cancellation because our time has been changed and it does not suit us" we always confirm each such annulation with a full refund. 3. You bought a tour with transport, you did not provide the address from where we should pick you up, so we sent you an hour of the tour from the meeting point in the center of Krakow. You were guaranteed full transportation. Here is your answer: "Not applicable. I don't need to be picked up." so we decided that you have your own transport and you want to join us on the spot (it's normal for us, we have clients who do this). After explaining, you decided to come with us from the center of Krakow. 4. The tour you have bought is a regular tour with other participants, in the Auschwitz-Birkenau museum the group of visitors may not exceed 30 people. We had more people and therefore the group had to be split up. Tickets to the Museum are personal and cannot be changed, so you had to enter according to the submitted list. These are the rules for visiting the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. 5. Unfortunately, part of the group had to wait for the second group - that's true. The guides of both groups were booked for the same hour, but something must have happened in the museum because one of the groups could start the tour with a 40-minute delay, the museum did not inform us about the reasons, the guide picked up the group and waited 40 minutes for the green light to start the tour. Our pilots were not informed that the group was delayed, so they waited with the hope that the group would come soon. Both groups were booked to visit for the same hour. Please remember that this is a large museum, which is visited by even several thousand people every day, there are security limits, a certain number of people may stay in the museum at the same time, which sometimes complicates and disrupts the plan. We as organizers have no influence on some things. Thanks again for your feedback, they are very valuable to us and help to improve the standard of our services.
Excellent Day Out - 100% Worth It
edwarddaviez, Sep 2022
Excellent tour, everything went smoothly and was great. We had a guide for all parts of the tour (For the camps and salt mine respectively). Both very extremely knowledgeable and took their time through. No parts of the tours were rushed, and I fel everything had sufficient time. My advice would be to vring snacks and drinks as our lunch break (1 hour) was at around 4pm, so you will be hungry after 9am pick up with only limited time and opportunity to obtain food before then Would 100% recommend this tour, really good day out and was dropped off right by our apartment
A Hard No on this Tour
Michael_C, Jul 2022
Visiting the camps was a profound experience. Getting there and back was not. It lacked the most basic parts of a good tour. First off, I was notified that the tour was going to start an hour late because of crowding at Auschwitz. I was finally picked up by the driver in a van that was also a taxi. There were already two people in the van. I just assumed the van would be taking us to a larger bus for the rest of the tour. The driver picked up five more people so there were eight of us in the van. Every seat was taken. The driver never said a word, never explained what the day was going to be like. He didn’t speak a word until we got to Auschwitz. We had about 10 minutes and then we’re handed over to our guide. After Auschwitz we went to Birkenau. Since this was a combination tour of the two camps plus the salt mines, we drove all the way back to Krakow to drop off half the group that was not going to the salt mines. We finally got to the salt mines and had been promised a break because there was no time during the entire day to have lunch anywhere, but we were informed that the tour was running behind and we had to start the tour to the salt mines immediately. So basically we had a 12 hour tour with no time to get some lunch. The only time the driver spoke was to let us know where to start each tour. I’ve never been on a tour so long without the opportunity of getting something to eat beside a drink or a bag of chips. Riding in the van was extremely uncomfortable for me just because they were so many people in there. I enjoyed the three destinations but the transportation was completely thoughtless. I wrote to the company and they told me I should’ve booked a private tour. I should also mention that there is an incredible amount of walking at all three of these destinations and there is really no opportunity to rest, sit down or just take a short break. There was absolutely no place to sit at the two camps. There were a couple of short opportunities at the salt mines. I logged in 15,000 steps on this tour. Do not take this tour.

It was a great experience. The guides were very helpful and polite but the bus was very old and in bad condition. The seats were all occupied, tight and there was no legroom.
Never again that much in one day!

Very hot to be outside walking. The suggestion to open your umbrella might have helped if had been suggested prior to trip. The very specific instructions to wear clothes below the knees and no tank tops was ignored by many. I was dying with blue jeans on while others walked around in shorts. Not enough time for rest between events. Would have been better to skip Birkenau and let us enjoy a meal.

We were informed that the tour will start later due to overwhelming demand to Auschwitz 1 day beforehand. On the day itself driver pick us up at the hotel on time and we went to the salt mine first instead. The salt mine was interesting and worth the visit. However the journey to Auschwitz was delayed due to some tour members being late and raining. The company did not prepare any umbrella too. So we ended up have to spend money to buy umbrella there and also waited almost an hour to start the tour. In the end we don't have enough time and have to cut short the tour.

Thank you!
Definitely recommend this tour

I was picked up, from my chosen hotel and it took about 90 mins maybe 2 hours to get to Auschwitz. The tour was supposed to start at 8.30, which would've given me time to have breakfast etc However, the day before, due to high volume of visitors, the time slot changed to a 6.45am pick up!! No lunch is provided and I didn't know if there was food available there, especially with the nature of the museum. So, I took a packed lunch. There are restaurants at Auschwitz, Birkenau and the Salt Mine. So don't feel you have to take any food with you. I had an excellent guide. Think her name was Sylvia? She knew so much about the 2 sites. There were 30 of us and she spoke into a microphone and we all had headphones on to hear her. There were many other groups but, she kept us at an appropriate distance. Photos are allowed to be taken, even if it does feel strange to be doing so. Between each site we were given a break and told what time to meet back at the minibus, by the other guide Phillip. At the Salt Mine we had an hour and 20 minutes before the tour actually started but there is so much to go and look at - spa area, local village, park and restaurants. The salt mine was last and took longer than I thought - at least 2 hours. Our guide was great, dealt with questions fantastically even though at times it felt like he'd memorised a script lol But, that also could be necessary for the information such as kings, depths and years etc 27 minutes afterwards we were dropped back at Krakow's main square. Definitely recommend this tour. Cheaper than the others, no lunch but you get 3 sites, travel to all sites with polite professionals. It is a long day, about 12 hours and was suddenly very tired, soon after being dropped off.

Auschwitz was so heart wrenching and thought provoking. It was good to go to the salt mine afterwards too as part of the day
Excellent tour, definitely worth booking!

The tour was well organised, the staff helpful and informative. The guides at both sites were engaging and spoke excellent English. The only negative was a last minute change to the pick up time in the morning but overall an amazing experience.

Auschwitz although very sad it should be a once in a lifetime for everyone to visit the memorial site. Salt mine was something you’d never have anticipated another must see for very different reasons. Great day
Tickets & a ride
Josh_C, Oct 2019
(please note: I'm reviewing the tour service only, not the stops) The tour consists of a small tour bus drive to the three locations. The pace of the day is not too fast, but overall it makes for a very long and exhausting day. The bus ride is just that - a bus ride. No tour guide is with you to provide any additional information or to properly manage a bus full of tourists. So overall, it didn't meet my full expectations, but is a convenient and pleasant way to see two sites in the Krakow area.
