We were a group of 6 adults and we felt it was important to see this historic site while visiting Krakow. Our driver, Micheal, was excellent, he answered all our questions and transported us straight to and from our hotel and between the two camps. The private transfer took the hassle out of getting there. Viator provided us with our tickets and he showed us where to queue and handed us over to our guide at the front gate who was very good. We were given headsets so our tour group could hear her talk as we followed her around the site. She was happy to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this trip to gain a better insight into the tragic events that occurred here.

Great tour

I booked a private car simply because our time in Krakow was limited and I wanted to make the most of the trip. The journey from Krakow is about 1hr 20 mins each way and with a private car there is no waiting on group pickups etc. The vehicle was spotless our driver was extremely personable with excellent English. He kept us fully informed of how the day would go as well as where we were to meet him to transfer between the two camps. Our tour guide was also excellent with perfect English, the same guide also took us around both camps. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting this wonderful city.

Great commutation between our private driver. It was so nice not to have to worry about meeting a group, getting on a crowded bus and to have our own private driver. Micheal was on time, showed us where to go, had our tickets ready for us. And dropped us off at our place. The only thing that would have been nice is to had some additional information about Auschwitz prior to getting there.

It is horrific to see and hear (again) what happened in the concentration camps. The guide in Auschwitz - Birkenau was excellent - very factual and well-informed. She spoke clearly and waited for people walking slower. Our driver Bartek was great: commucation and information was very clear, fast responses, safe driver in a very comfortable car and a very nice person. We enjoyed his company and conversations on the way to and from Auschwitz. We can strongly recommend booking a trip with this company.

Because this activity is so tightly regulated, it is easy to miss something that could ruin your trip. Booking through this group made the travel and experience seamless and stress-free. The driver was great, very accomodating, and the arranged tour was excellent and we always knew where to go and what we needed to do. Great way to focus on this place and not worry about the details.

Hotel Pick up and Tour to Auchswitz

Driver was extremely helpful , he had all our tickets to hand and took us to the entry point for Auchswitz. He was outside waiting for us at the completion of the tour then took us to Birkenau. The minibus pick up from our hotel went smoothly having been notified of our pick up time in adavance. Minibus very comfortable for the 5 of us.

Transport to Auschwitz was excellent. Driver Wictor was on time with a clean car. Wictor was very pleasant, friendly and made sure we knew where to go and where to meet him after the tour. We would highly recommend Wictor for any other visitor using this service

It was worth getting a private transfer from Krakow centre to Auschwitz and then to Birkenau. The car was so comfortable and clean, and the driver was very polite. It is quite a long journey and after having had such an emotionally exhausting experience, it was nice to get driven back home safely and comfortably. I also had great communication from the company, it was smooth from start to finish.

This was a perfectly arranged tour. Private driver and once you get to the camps, a group guide. If you want to hire a private tour guide at the camp, that’ll cost you 400-500€ plus the private driver, so I’d say this package for a private driver and a group guide was a perfect balance. Mario our driver was amazing. Would recommend it!

Excellent service for a fair price

Right after ordering the trip, we were contacted by the Polturist representative, who reminded us about the restrictions, informed us about how long the trip will take, what can we take with us, that we had to have our IDs, the exact time of pickup, … We were also offered a decent lunch package. The driver was on time and had a modern, clean, and spacious VW Transporter. His English was excellent and so were his social skills. The drive was safe and pretty quick. Overall a great service for a reasonable price. Everything was included in the price except the lunch package (40PLN per person), which we knew. Everyone should see places like Auschwitz-Birkenau, Mauthausen, Buchenwald, Terezin, and Treblinka, … It is tough to see all the holocaust evidence of holocaust and the torture of the prisoners. We cannot change the past, we can only learn from it and not repeat our own mistakes.

For our first trip to Poland, our group of two couples decided visiting Auschwitz was an absolute must and we were not disappointed. Despite the very eerie atmosphere at both Auschwitz and Birkenau camps, the knowledge and information our guide shared was beyond interesting and gave an authentic understanding of the harrowing activities that happened here. There was more of a museum feel at the first and smaller camp where we were able to view a lot of remaining artefacts and gain a deeper understanding of what happened when the individuals arrived. Birkenau was much much larger and the guide took place outside of the remaining buildings. I would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Krakow or nearby areas as a highly educational and worthwhile tour. The private transfer was also worth whatever the nominal difference was in cost.
