Amazing when we got there but very poorly organised

The trip was organised chaos - driver didn’t know what was happening and I didn’t receive a guide book at all whilst others received old torn guide books. The driver did not communicate what was happening- you need to sort this out - amateur show

A absolute must place to visit when you are in Krakow, it’s very moving & definitely a shocking experience but nevertheless, glad me, my husband & son went. Be prepared as it’s a very long day

Well organized tour: departure on time from an easy-to-find location. Seats on coach are a little small for long-legged people like me though! Visit is dramatic and is a must for everyone. Although some visitors take the museum for Disneyland (shoutings, laughings, taking pictures where forbidden…) and are only interested in gas chambers… I only regret the timing for Birkenau doesn’t need 2 hours whereas Auschwitz museum takes much more than 2 hours! And with a tour leaving at 9am instead of 11am, we could have more time there and finish the visit with daylight. Visiting Auschwitz in the dark is a strange experience… Otherwise I recommend this tour and visit.

The boarding of the shuttle was somewhat chaotic, but other than that I recommend Pawel company (the tour operator). Lots of walking involved especially in Birkenau. The tour we took was without a guide; you get a guide book instead (in your language). That gives some flexibility. If you don’t know much of WWII/Holocaust history, may be better to get the tour with an actual guide.

Great trip from start to finish, the coach was easy to find at the pick up point, our driver and tour guide were very well informed and helpful. We had a great visit the guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything slowly, we were given points of interest and made the trip easy to get round and not miss anything overall we had a very pleasant experience thanks.

Disappointing tour company

Disappointing, booked a tour to Auschwitz with viator, the tour started at 12pm and included bus tickets but the tour was actually for 4.30 with free tickets so your only paying for the small bus but this isn't advertised. They crammed 24 people into the smallest bus Ive ever been in and my face was almost touching the seat Infront. Took us an extra hour of travel as someone arrived late and they decided to circle back to get them. We got one book between two to share that we had to return at the end which was ridiculous as how are you suppose to both read the small book at the same time. We then exited the bus and got lost due to no instructions. We ended up having to buy our own tickets otherwise we would have to wait 2 hours to enter and made our own way back. We told viator and they gave us no refund even though I explained we didn't use the tickets or the bus trip home. Wouldn't recommend booking with them as if you have problems they don't help at all. I'm sure they will reply to this with some rubbish about contact us if you have any concerns but they arnt willing to help at all. Extremely dissatisfied

You left the tour once we arrive in the car park of Auschwitz. At the end of the activity the host or greeter was trying to contact You but Your telephone number was out of order. We have been waiting for You for 15 mins and no one contacted us that You are looking for a bus.

Good experience! Self guided tours are perfect If you want to move at your pace. I'd suggest trying to get an audiobook on arrival however it's not a necessity as there's English translation all around. Also pack some snacks.

Auschwitz and Birkenau...

Auschwitz and Birkenau should be in everyone's list to visit in Poland. As soon as we got there, we felt a sensation of mourning and praying. We could observe visitors walking silently throughout the grounds. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to take this tour to visit these two places.

A well informed tour with a extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide. Although this was a self guided tour, which is what I wanted, we were given plenty of advice on what to see and where to go. The guide was well read on the subject and answered any questions expertly on the tour itself and on tother aspects of history. We were given ample time to explore and well looked after during its duration. I would highly recommend this tour operator/guide to anyone keen to see/learn more about this aspect of a very dark time in Western modern history.

Didnt get into Auschwitz, tour guide said it was closed but it wasnt ,only one guide book between two ,only got advised that we cant get in after we were on our way,got taken to a freezing cold church instead. If there had been better communication this could have been resolved, as it is they are saying no refund advising a good quality alternative was offered, (not offered just taken without being asked).

Everyone who visits Krakow should book the Auschwitz Birkenau memorial trip to pay their respects. Our guides Pawel and Marek were very knowledgeable and helpful and prompt with pick up. I can highly recommend booking this trip.
