What To Expect

Depart from central London by air-conditioned coach and journey west into the scenic county of Wiltshire toward Salisbury Plain, the site of UNESCO-listed Stonehenge.

As you travel, listen as your guide shares fascinating facts about this prehistoric monument: a 4,500-year-old stone circle that many scholars believe was built as a temple aligned to the movements of the sun.

On arrival, head inside the site and stroll around the monument’s perimeter as you consider how the gigantic stones were transported here and then raised into place. After posing for photos in front of the stones, explore the state-of-the-art visitor center to discover its archaeological displays and audio-visual walkthroughs.

Then, continue your journey to the 18th-century spa city of Bath. Famous for its natural hot springs that were enjoyed by the Romans, as well as for its Georgian architecture and associations with the 18th-century novelist, Jane Austen, this lovely city is one of England’s greatest treasures.

During your journey, learn about Bath’s history, and when you arrive, take an introductory walking tour. Put on your audio headset and listen to your guide’s crystal-clear commentary as you admire the beautiful streets and honey-colored Georgian buildings, including the sweeping Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge.

Afterward, upgrade your ticket to include a visit to the Roman Baths, or simply spend the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. Perhaps visit the Jane Austen Visitor Centre (own expense), the small museum that showcases Jane’s work and times in the city. Learn about life in Bath during Regency times, and how it influenced Jane’s stories from the exhibits and in-costume guides.

Tour was very well run by our guide Mel. He provided historical information about London and Bath throughout the trip which helped make the trip more colorful. Bath was great, if we had to do it again would have dropped the roman baths and just spent more time exploring Bath. Three hours is not enough...

Trip and sites very good. Bus good. Announcer on trip was ok but could have been much better. For example why didn't she provide a map of Bath or tell us where we could have obtained one.

Experience in Stonehenge and Bath

Although I've wanted to see Stonehenge for many years, I was disappointed in the experience as our audio guides didn't work. We could not hear about Stonehenge as we were seeing it. Also, there was no internet on the bus so we couldn't even read about it. Bath, however. Was wonderful and we enjoyed the tour of the baths immensely.

We were concerned about having decent weather at Stonehenge, but our tour guide, Andy, made a great call and had us go up to the stones first rather going through the exhibition center as the sun was out. We got some amazing pictures and as soon as we got back, it started raining. Bath was very nice. The Roman Baths are worth going through, but you have to have patience as it is small spaces and a lot of people. I highly recommend this experience!

The worst experience

I bought this Tour because I thought it was a great way to visit Stonehenge and Bath, and also, it had good reviews there. The tour guide was included and I expected it to be very interesting. Surprisingly, the tour guide Andy was an administrator only - organised tickets and timing. We heard just a few sentences about those famous places which was very disappointing. I cannot understand how a tour guide doesn't do any tour. Later, he asked us to leave him positive reviews on Trip Adviser - for WHAT?.. sorry... Very unprofessional and disappointing - never again... Ina

History comes to life

We were treated to stories from the area, stories from history and personal stories by our guide, Mel. His commentary was very entertaining and he took a personal interest in the stories our group would share. You just need to know that you will spend about 5-6 hours on the bus travelling from London to the locations so, if this isn't to you liking, this tour may not be the one for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!

Excellent tour of Stonehenge and Bath

Stonehenge and Bath are must see excursions for visitors to London. Mel Adams, the tour guide, was excellent. Knowledgeable, funny and kind. He made sure we got where we needed to go for the tours and advised us about other places to visit while in Bath. It was a busy day but well worth it.

Not what I expected based on other reviews

Perhaps my hopes were too high after reading the other reviews, but of all the tours we took this trip to Europe (6 total) this was the nose disappointing. The guide was often confusing - including when providing directions about where to go and important convening times. She wasn’t clear on when she was using the headset and when she wasn’t so I often missed context but overheard idle chatter. She spent a lot of time discussing flora and fauna and not much on history, art, and architecture - admittedly, this may have been lovely for some people; but it wasn’t my cup of tea and totally didn’t engage my 16-year old son. The museum in Bath was narrated by the standard audio guide, not our tour guide. And in Stonehenge, she barely spent 15 minutes talking about the formation. For certain the weather was horrific, but I was hoping she would have perhaps used time in the museum or something to provide more color commentary. She was a charming and lovely human but the tour was far below what I expected based on the other reviews. The bus driver was excellent - making up time lost waiting for late guests and keeping us safe and moving in terrible weather.

Tour was awesome! Leslie and Greg were fantastic. Leslie was very informative and entertaining; Greg kept us safe in busy London and the hilly countryside. We had time in both locations, so we didn't feel rushed at all. Would highly recommend.

Ben was a fantastic guide! So happy we selected this tour rather than the one that included Windsor. We got to spend extra time in Bath and the day was the perfect length. Ben was so knowledgeable and gave some great recommendations for pubs and activities both on the tour and for our time in London.

The sites we visited were tremendous. It was cold. Enough time at both stops. It was a bit of a challenge to find the station to leave from but a kind person pointed us in the right direction.

Our family enjoyed the trip & our guide Deborah who has been very knowledgeable & helpful. However, the tour bus company should always check their vehicle before tour to enjoy that it is functioning well as our tour bus battery went flat and we ended up return late. Everything well perfectly well until the tour bus broken down.
