All of the places we went were memorable. Chilham was so charming, the Cliffs were magnificent, and Canterbury was beautiful and historic. Our guide Tony was wonderful! Friendly, engaging and a wealth of knowledge.

Great Experience!

Tony was an amiable, knowledgeable host, and the trip was memorable. We were able to tuck into a sweet small town as well as visiting the impressive white cliffs, Dover Castle, and Canterbury. Amazed by how much we were able to see and do in one day. Highly recommend.

A great way to see the country side of England

Andy did a great job telling everyone about the history of each town we drove through. By choosing a small group tour we received a personalized trip and were able to see a lot more things than what larger groups would see. He gave us many bathroom breaks and plenty of time to see things at each stop. It was a tight schedule, but well done. It was a long day too, but the shuttle was very comfortable, airconditioned and had phone charging ports. The shuttle that Andy provided allowed the group to drive directly to the cliffs which were beautiful and one of the main reasons i selected this tour. We lucked out with weather too - it was hot and sunny. Dover castle was beautiful and had a decent cafe to grab a bite to eat. Amazing views. Canterbury was full of history, a beautiful church, a lot of shops and cafe's. I would recommend this tour if you want to see a lot in one day and want to travel with a small group.

We have never been on a group tour before and honestly were not super sure what to expect, we just wanted to make the most out of our trip. We were very lucky to have Johny as our guide, he was very personable, an excellent driver, quite funny, and impressively knowledgeable about even little things that we passed on our way to and fro the main highlights of the tour. We never would have looked twice at Shooters Hill on our own. He is clearly passionate about history and excited to share, it made you want to ask him your question instead of just quietly googling it in a corner. It felt like traveling with a friend. The stops of the tour were lovely and well planned out and not so far apart that you ever get uncomfortable in the bus. Johny ensures no one is confused about plans and even gives multiple recommendations while we are at our stops. We had a beautiful time and would absolutely book with these guys again.

A nice and comfortable way to visit Kent, Dover and Canterbury

After leaving a rainy London we arrived in Kent where the weather was much better. During the ride our driver and guide gave us lots of information about the places we were about to visit. This tour was very comfortable and we saw a lot. A little tip: we would suggest to make the stop in Chilham and Dover Castle shorter. More time in Canterbury including the lunchbreak.

While we'd love to have lunch in Canterbury the timings just don't work as Dover Castle closes quite early, so we have to go to Dover before Canterbury. With regards to the stops at Dover Castle and Chilham - we have experimented with different timings over the last 5 years - and we have settled on those that get the best feedback. At the end of the day, unless of a completely private tour, which we do offer on request, some guests will always want to spend slightly differing lengths of time in places, we just try our best to find the happiest medium! The cliffs of Dover are incredibly beautiful, and the sound and smell of the ocean is breathtaking, then Canterbury Cathedral and small town are so charming , lovely tour. Andy our guide was so knowledgeable and nice and friendly

Johnny picked our group up promptly at 8:45am at the location sent through the Viator app. He was a very engaging tour guide and provided a wealth of historical knowledge for each site visited. This was our favorite thing we did while visiting London! Lilly was our tour guide and she was amazing! She was so upbeat and cheerful, as well as knowledgeable, we had such an amazing time! We started by seeing Greenwich, shortly, before heading to Chilham, which was a quaint little village, then headed to the White Cliffs in Dover. Some roads were closed, so we ended up taking a charming scenic route to the cliffs, around the countryside, it was super cute. We had time to grab a drink a s charming little pub and relax at the cliff before heading to Dover castle, and lastly Canterbury Cathedral. We had time to eat while in Canterbury, and even time to grab another drink and relax before eLilly took us on a walking tour around Canterbury showing us bits and pieces of the city's history worth noting. One thing we really appreciated was that we were in a (pretty new) largely sized Mercedes bus that had plenty of cold AC! Also, this was a small group, so which is another thing we loved, bc we can't stand that tours with 100 ppl on a huge tour bus! It was so hot when we were there, the hottest day in London history actually, and so anything cold was a warm welcome(no pun intended). Thanks again to Lilly and everyone else making this tour possible, she was so amazing and made sure we all had such an wonderful time! This tour is a definite must if wanting to see the white cliffs and Canterbury while on your London trip! We would totally book again in a heartbeat!!! Wish we had used The English Bus tour group for all of our tours!!!

Great way to see Dover and Canterbury

This tour was a very full day, and showed us wonderful experiences outside of Central London. By using a small group format, we were able to get down to the bottom of the Cliffs. I was completely surprised by Dover Castle and would love to go back. Canterbury was such a treat and we felt like we had plenty of time. The guide, Johny, was fantastic and kept it very lively.

Excellent tour of Dover & Canterbury

We were on the Dover and Canterbury tour today and it has been the highlight of our trip. Colin was an absolutely amazing guide and made everyone feel a part of the group. I can’t recommend them enough. The bus was brand new and comfortable and the stops along the way were great. I won’t forget getting a pint of cask ale to go in Chilham and the excellent walking tour of Canterbury. The cliffs of Dover were amazing and our visit to to Rochester was wonderful as well. When we come back we’ll book with this company again without a doubt.

Excellent tour guide and outstanding sights. I would recommend it to anyone especially if the tour skipped Greenwich as that was a bit rushed and cramped the schedule a bit much. Otherwise, heartily recommend.
