    Yes to the museum, no to this tour

    Paid a premium for a private tour and then At the last moment was told that someone else would join. She, too, had paid for a private tour. When she learned that not only was her tour not private but would include kids she was furious. It was awkward. It took twenty minutes to sort it out. Total bait and switch that left everyone disappointed. It also seemed that they had some unsatisfying set up for our tour guide so she did her best under the circumstances but overall everyone felt screwed over. Not worth the money. I would not recommend using viator. I also dorms their customer service rude and dishonest. The museum, however, is phenomenal.
    Complete Aztec history in 2 hours.

    Our guide Violetta was phenomenal. She was educated and interesting, showed us so many hidden items and knew more about her history and the museum than anyone could have expected. Fantastic.

    A very memorable visit to the National Museum of Archeology. Our guide, Violetta, selected and highlighted fascinating artifacts and stories from the collection. I appreciated this curation, especially since most of the signage in the museum is in Spanish (so I would have been lost otherwise). HIGHLY recommend.

    Violeta is very pleasant and brought order and understanding to the huge museum. We gained a great respect for Mexico’s history. I highly recommend a tour with her!

    Tour guide canceled at last minute. He asked us to delay our planned start. Then, when we arrived, he said “sorry, I can’t do the tour”
    Bait and switch, not a private tour.

    I’m giving the experience a 3 because this was not a private tour as advertised. Our tour guide, Violeta was amazing, she gets a 5/5 but I feel taken advantage of. I was called by Chill N Go Tours, the day before our tour and was asked to change the time of our tour, fine. What was not fine was that when we arrived, on time, our guide was waiting for another group, a large family of 7, and then a third group. Do not advertise this as a private tour and then make it a group tour. We started late as we waited for everyone and Violeta did extend the time for this. Left a sour taste to what was really a lovely and informative tour by Violeta.

    Our guide Violeta was wonderful. Gracious, knowledgeable and clear. The Anthropology Museum is not to be missed. Fabulous architecture and dramatic relics. We learned so much!! A private tour is definitely the way to see this vast museum. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed it too.

    Rodrigo was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of the cultures He was engaging and enjoyed being peppered with questions Only hiccup was he got stopped during the tour for not having credentials but he returned to complete the tour Would highly recommend

    Excellent informative tour. Rodrigo was a great tour guide. Excellent way to get a solid background on Mexican history in a short time period. Group was 8 people plus Rodrigo so small enough to be manageable.

    This tour (castle + museum) was a fantastic three hour experience I totally recommend ! I loved finding out about both modern and ancient Mexican history and seeing all the cool artifacts. Isaac was great enthusiastic tour guide. Top tip: just make sure you double confirm the meetup spot. If doing both (castle + museum) it might be one or the other.

    Soaking up pre-Hispanic history at the Museo National de Anthrpologis

    Lorena was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She was also full of suggestions for restaurants and marketplaces to visit. This is a huge museum and it was an intense two hours. By the time we finished our tour, we were too tired (and hungry) to look around more, though we would have liked to. It really helps to have a guide like Lorena to digest a museum like this one.
