Museum tour with the minion

Had an absolutely amazing time. Carol had an wealth of knowledge that she was able to share with us and help to keep the minion engaged. For our first time in the Louve she was able to give us a good overview of the highlights and knowledge that we will come back again to really explore.

Pauline from Rafaelle tours and events was a fantastic guide for our “Louvre Highlights Tour for Kids.” She has a fantastic energy and passion for the works of art and it was wonderful to share in that. Pauline was kind enough to bring along maps, created a scavenger hunt and even gave us small gifts at the end of our tour - Elle est très gentille! Our children (8, 12) had smiles on their faces the entire time because Pauline did such an exceptional job engaging at their level of understanding, but the adults never felt left out either. All of us learned so much, not just about the artwork, but also the history of France. Truly a wonderful experience and the only way to see the Louvre. Merci beaucoup Pauline!

Beyond worth it!

This guide was so worth it. Dominique is an art historian who took us through the louvre at a perfect pace ensuring the kids (12 & 9) were engaged throughout. She was thoughtful and kind and amended the tour when she saw subjects that sparked the kids’ interest and still gave us a nice overview of all that is in the louvre. Highly recommend. This was a very different experience to what we would have had on our own. All questions answered. She was so knowledgeable and knew the tricks to avoid the crowds but still see the main attractions.

Helene was simply wonderful. She was so good at introducing art in a manner that was accessible an interesting for our 11 and 14 year olds. After our tour, we had lunch and tried to see more of the museum and our kids found it much less interesting without Helene! Great and easy communication with Helene and Viator, very seamless experience. This is NOT the type of tour to see as much as possible in the Louvre - she focused on a carefully curated selection of masterpieces and discussed the significance and relevance of each work. This helped the kids (and parents) create a deeper understanding and appreciation of the work and made for a far-more interesting experience than simply zipping through as many paintings as possible. But if you want to check off as much art as possible, plan to stay longer.

This tour was excellent and well worth it. She guided us straight in past the crowd. We didn’t have any specific requests; she took us through several rooms and wove a story, pointing out different pieces and techniques that led us to the Mona Lisa (we got much closer than shows in the picture, I just think it’s a funny vantage point). We all learned something new and were engaged the whole time.

Worth every penny. Tatiana was an excellent guide for our five year old through the Louvre. The skip the line access was wonderful and allowed us to waste no time getting through the museum. Tatiana held our 5 year olds attention the entire 3 hours and was patient when we needed to stop for breaks. The information was memorable and my child is still talking about all the details we learned. Tatiana always asked if a certain topic was appropriate for my child or if it was ok to show some of the scarier things like the mummies.

Rosana couldn't have been better! We showed up late, she didn't begrudge us at all, and proceeded to take us past all the lines. So first step complete. Then she was able to bring to life so many of the paintings, including helping us understand the significance of the works to France's history, the background on the building(s) that comprise the Louvre, and some really fun facts that will for sure stick with us. I actually asked her if she had been a teacher previously, because her ability to capture the kids attention (after a long day!) was incredible. She even got them little gifts (which they managed to not lose and bring home!). A+++
