When we met up with Arthur of pirate rio he seemed very friendly and willing to fullfill our wishes to see Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, Seleron Steps and Copacabana beach if time. So firstly told us the Steps were closed due to Carnival as well as Copacabana beach so he took us to the forest and waterfalls which were lovely but not our request. Next we went to Sugarloaf mountain which was amazing with stunning views. Then he took us to Assador Restaurant which cost us £160 for 2 people for lunch which we thought was a bit expensive and not happy about. When we asked about going to Christ the Redeemer Arthur told us it was too busy to go and there wasn't time. He told us he would reserve tickets for us before the trip and bring card to pay for them on the day. Turned out he hadn't reserved any tickets and we didn't go. He did take us to Copacabana beach which was very hot and busy so we just walked part of the black and white pavement. Really unhappy about our trip, we hadn't achieved what we paid for, the car we went in was in a dangerous condition. The trim around the back offside door on the inside had come out of place and there was a lot of road noise and my wife could see a lot of road and daylight around the door. We wish we had gone on the tour organised by Azamara Cruises as they had managed to do all of the things listed on the trip but we hadn't. Feel very tempted to request a fefund but we haven't. We had heard such good things about Viator but were very very disappointed by our experience.

Karla was amazing we got to hang with the locals. It was authentic and real. I recommend it. Drinks to walking in neighborhoods while Karla explain the culture also meeting the locals. If you want ambience or prestige this isn’t that this is local in the cut fun.

Lapa Palooza was so much fun!! We drank, we sang, we danced we got our faces painted. I made some instagram friends and people I’ll hang out with while I’m in Rio. I highly recommend it, if you’re in Rio and want to check out the nightlife in a safe, curated way. Arthur and his guides love what they do and it shows.

Victor was my tour guide and he was really sweet and patient. At the first meetup spot, we drank caipirinhas (included with the tour) and played a fun icebreaker game with the other people on the tour. The second place was a samba bar with really great live music. The third place was a cool rock bar and although the music was not my cup of tea, I still really enjoyed the vibe and doing something totally unexpected for Rio. My absolute favorite was the last place where I danced so much I was sweating. I would have stayed to dance the night away if my flight home wasn't the next morning. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in exploring nightlife in Rio. It was really great to have bilingual tour guides because if you don't speak Portuguese, navigating this type of thing in Rio can be really challenging.

This activity was really fun. I traveled with my dad to Rio and we picked this activity just to know a little bit about the night life in Rio, we ended up having so much fun and singing Mexican music in a karaoke with some friends that we made over there that night. Our guide, Lucas, he was amazing, he made us feel like we were hanging out with friends, all the people in our group were amazing, I saw everybody having fun, dancing and making friends with the local people. I'm definitely doing this again if I go to Rio one more time.

Arthur was great!! Took us to all the fun places, we danced All night until 3am! I got a tattoo at some Irish pub hahaha!! Basically best night to remember! Made some new great friends. LOVED IT.
